Physical appearance and initial testing of these PRHVP2A-20 rectifiers at low voltages look good. The provided electrical connection terminals are tabs that accept commonly available 1/4 inch quick-connect receptacles. At around 70 F. room temperature, these start to conduct at forward bias of close to 12.1 volts. The forward voltage drop tops out at around 14.5 volts, a figure typical of high voltage rectifiers such as these. As another reviewer stated, the diode test function of a typical multimeter is not able to check these; due to the forward voltage being considerably higher than that of a single solid state diode junction. I don't have the equipment set up at this time to perform a full reverse voltage test on these.

Due to HV capability, the Diode will not work at low voltages. A multimeter's standard diode test will fail! use a 9 VDC battery and read the voltage drop.

Only tested these at 15kv so far and they held up. Building them into an 8kv working voltage full wave bridge and will see how it goes. Nice you don’t need balancing resistors hopefully this is taken care of internally in the stack.
