This is a must, great quality, makes a paper weight Dyson battery obsolete, now I can use my drill batteries to vacuum the whole house as to where the built in battery would die After a few minutes when fully charged. Bought one for my sister too, they love it as well. Great invention!!! Money well spent.

The product itself physically fits great, and makes it easy to swap Ryobi batteries. However, the problem is that the product shouldn’t exist. The Ryobi 18 V batteries system is not enough to properly power the Dyson. It cannot even be used on Max power. It will run for only one second.

Purchased to be able to use Ryobi tool batteries on a Dyson V7. Easy to install and now vac is humming again. Gives you a lot more vac time if you have multiple batteries.

The Ryobi to Dyson adapter came complete with everything, even a screwdriver, needed to attach in a nice and simple cardboard box. No fancy package to jack up the price and the best thing was, the gizmo works as advertised. Pop in a Ryobi battery and it works, even on high! I recommend that you use the 4 amp hour batteries as you will get about double the run time of the standard Dyson battery, even on high. Make sure your batteries are doing good and are fully charged. In my case, with the original Dyson battery, even when brand new I was lucky to get 6 minutes on high, but with the Ryobi I was getting over 12 when I ran out of carpet to clean.For those that are concerned that the Ryobi battery is only 18 volts, that is a misnomer as that is the nominal charge of 3.6 volts per cell, so with 5 cells inside each battery pack, that's 18 volts, but at full charge of 4.2 volts per cell that's a total of 21 volts. In other words, it's just marketing with companies using the higher voltage to sound more powerful, when in fact they are all using the similar cells (18650 is what the Dyson and Ryobi both have). The biggest factor is the amp draw and the heat build up in the battery, which is why a more powerful 4 amp hour battery works so much better and longer in the Dyson Vacuums. Change your filters and keep your vacuum clean to improve your run times on any vac.

My Dyson battery started to die giving only a few minutes of use so I bought this adapter instead. POWER ON! Now I can use my ryobi batteries and vacuum endlessly. Super!

I bought a Dyson when I bought my 1st house 6 yrs ago. In less than a year I couldn't vacuum more than 10-15 min because it would run out of battery. An otherwise great (and expensive) vacuum was virtually useless. I bought a Dyson battery replacement a couple years ago and it helped for less than a year.Then as I was researching the Ryobi Stick Vac that a friend had, and loved, I found this Ryobi battery adapter. THIS PRODUCT IS THE BEST! I bought an extra Ryobi battery (I already had a couple for a few of my Ryobi tools) and this adapter. I can now vacuum any time I want, and can complete the job in one session.I HIGHLY recommend this product. Easy to install, and well worth the investment.

We almost bought a Dyson branded replacement battery, good thing we learned this exist since we already have a Ryobi battery. This literally gave life to our V8 vacuum! It works really well and now we can vacuum the whole house with a single charge.The only things to consider when buying this:- The battery will block the trash container when attached so you will need to remove it first if you need to empty.- The vacuum will be heavier because of the Ryobi battery.- The indicator light is only green (when charged) and red (when running out); it won't give you a gauge of how much charge is left like the Dyson battery.

I almost didn't buy this because other reviewers said it didn't work on Max. We'll it does... But only with a 4ah battery or larger. It doesn't work with my 2ah battery on max. This, 2 4ah batteries and charger was cheaper than buying an official replacement battery. Mine lasts 11mins on Max with a full charge. The stock Dyson battery only lasted 7 mins.

My Dyson v7 battery died recently. Unfortunately I didn’t want to pay $99 to replace the battery on a just ok vacuum that needs to be charged after 20 minutes of usage. That prompted me to do some research on other alternatives.After reading and watching reviews, I came upon this doohickey that seemed as if it would work for what I needed it to. Fakespot and ReviewMeta said this was ok so I went with it. I’m glad I did. I knew going in that I would only be able to use the vacuum on low, which was fine. I always used it on low anyway to make the charge last as long as possible. Otherwise it seemed to die in 10 to 15 minutes on high. It does seem to perform at a slightly lower suction rate than the regular Dyson battery does, though.Installation was easy with legible and easily followed instructions. I particularly enjoyed the magnetized tiny screws and tiny screwdriver. Very cute and such a great idea. Most companies should do this, in my opinion. I installed a RYOBI battery that my partner has many of and off I went. Honestly, the battery charge lasts longer with the RYOBI battery than it did with the actual Dyson battery. The one I used right away wasn’t even fully charged but just kept going and going.The vacuum is a bit heavier with the off brand battery attached but that’s fine with me. I also knew this going in because of reviews. This set up will work for me until I purchase a better brand/quality of vacuum (that is not Shark or Bissell. Check out the vacuum subreddit if you really want your mind to be blown). Money well spent.
