So I have no experience with bows but this one is super cool to use! I setup the provided targets on some straw bales and although I can’t aim or hit anything it was fun to try. The compound bow gives you enough assistance to make it much easier to draw back and get tension. I have tried a regular bow and arrow and hoe were impossible. This felt much less impossible! It’s a great size for people with smaller hands, I felt like I was able to handle it. My son who is a bigger kids found it a little small so I see how it’s best for young adults. Unfortunately I just don’t know enough about bows to be an expert but I can say this has all the things I needed to feel like an expert and it was wildly fun to use.

So, the good: the bow itself seems decently made, and it works. The bad? Ooph... There's a lot of plastic and cheaper materials being used - this is a cheap, entry level bow after all. The issue was assembly: putting this together was an absolute nightmare. It came missing hardware, so I had to source my own bolts to make it work. The picture on the front of the instructions was actually more helpful than the instructions themselves. Once I got it together, the bow quiver couldn't hold the arrows, so I had to swap the two pieces so the cup looking piece was on the bottom (not how it's pictured). Also, I didn't know if 12 was the right draw length setting for me, so I tested it out and it accidentally slipped... I got to learn how to re - string it with no instructions. That was fun.So, yeah, it's not a bad bow and arrow set once it's assembled and dialed in, but getting there didn't seem worth it in the end. I'd rather spend more to get a nicer, fully assembled one. To each their own though. This will work for both children and adults, however adults might find it small overall, and kids might find the handle big. You can adjust the tension too, which is a nice feature. I'll let you be the judge on whether or not this is worth the investment, but that was my experience.
