Can cut either way. comfortable rubber handle. The blades lay flat in the trimmer so easy to change just spinning the two secure screws off. Trims the floor covering to fit snug along the skirting without marking the skirting. Uses the trimmer blades with one centre slot, double sided. The cutter comes with 10 extra blades. Made in Sheffield, England.

Great tool very light. Anyone know where I can find the wall protector pad replacement? Can’t seem to find them here on Amazon.

This thing can definitely save you some time. I suggest reading some reviews or watching some videos how to use it correctly to get the right length cuts. I practiced using it on some old remnants before tackling my new carpeting. Overall i really liked it. Nice clean cuts and very easy to use.

It came with 10 spare one side bevel blades, but the installed on the cutter are regular blades. You will need to change and replace the blades before you start using it.Be aware on how they go, where the mount seats and if you dont pay attention and need a guide (like I did) go youtube and search CARPET TRIMMER 101 video. Floors by Southern boys. That video will show you how to replace the blades, reposition the mount and how to actually use it. They do a great job showing you few different ways on how to use it, depending the need.

This product is very well built. Works as designed. I am a pro installer of 30 years. Anyone claiming this trimmer not working for them is definitely not understanding how to use it. I give this wall trimmer 5 stars all day. The blades that come with it aren't exactly the correct kind but even then it works beautifully.

Some of the ratings incorrectly state that it comes with blades are double beveled and do not function properly. The cutter arrived with two five-packs of blades properly beveled on one side only. It cuts well.

Nice that this trimmer comes with instructions. The instructions clearly state that you MUST use single bevel blades NOT the common "box cutter" double bevel blades. I was shocked to see that the blades already installed in the trimmer and the supplied extra blades were DOUBLE BEVEL! Double bevel blades don't work in this type of trimmer because the carpet fibers get stuck. Fortunately, I had purchased some single bevel carpet blades and installed them as described in the instructions. This improved the performance greatly, however, it still didn't cut as well as I hoped. I added one more height plate and opened the throat one more notch. That did the trick! Now the trimmer made perfect cuts with ease.Bottom line is: DON"T USE THE SUPPLIED BLADES (if they are double bevel.) The ones supplied with my trimmer were double bevel and should have been single bevel. Then, ADJUST the trimmer for your particular carpet. Use a scrap piece and test out the various adjustments!I was initially very disappointed with the performance, but after making the adjustments described above, was VERY happy with the performance of this trimmer. I suspect that the one star reviews come from those who didn't know that the wrong blades were supplied with the trimmer and because they didn't take the time to adjust the trimmer for their particular carpet. I am deducting one start because the wrong blades were supplied with the trimmer. It would have been better if no blades had been supplied.
