The Cooper-Atkins 50360-K Type K thermocouple 5.5" food penetration needle probe measures temperature from -40 to +500 degrees F (-40 to +260 degrees C). It has a response time of 2 seconds in liquid. The stainless-steel cable measures 35" and can withstand temperatures up to 600 degrees F (316 degrees C). It can be closed in an oven door. This probe is used to monitor food temperatures during cooking.

Both of these tested at 32 degrees in an ice slush right out of the package. Very accurate. I test all my thermocouples once a month. I'll be buying these again should I need more.

Didn't work right. When inserted in to a roast it gave air temperaturemail and not probe temperature.

Working as designed. What can I say, plug it in, insert, read temperature. Works great for cooking meat inside my smoker, just drop it inside the smoker through the top smoke vent and insert into meat. Of course you need a K type thermocouple thermometer.May your meat always be hot...
