The worked surprising well. But the box is not a case and if assembled with a tip it won't fit in the box. But it replaced my butane portable for less than the cost of a tank of butane. I'll keep it.

This handy tool is perfect for small repairs. It's literally the size of a standard pen or sharpie. Completely cordless so ease of use is there. Ideal for repairing a broken wire, or contact on a pc board or repairing a drone or other rc device. I used it on my trailer to splice a broken interior light wire, as well as on an electric recliner wire that our puppy decided to taste. The best connection is a soldered one when it comes to wiring repairs. The unit comes with 3 tips, USB C charging order and a little tool holder with a wet sponge. One the price point it's worth it.The only negative I see is the barrel does it pretty hot after a few minutes on the high setting, otherwise I would be giving it a 5 star rating. I think they could have insulated that a little better, however just changing the position of your hand remedies that problem. As for long term durability I think using for small quick fixes it will last a reasonable amount of time. I am happy with it so far and it is so much easier than working with a corded unit and the portability along with this small size makes it a solid purchase in my opinion.

I got this two days ago and have used it a little since then to see how it works and to assure that it does work. It does work. It melts solder at all three temp settings (green, blue, red). My only complaint, and its a small one, is that it doesn't heat in 10 seconds as the ad claims. It takes about 30 seconds to get to working temperature. Can I live with 30 seconds....sure. But the ad claims 10 seconds and the 30 second time is a disappointment. I don't know if others have had the same experience. I didn't see this mentioned in the other reviews.

I bought this soldering Iron for my SMD repair job, and for SMD it is a perfest.I prefer if they add a stand for wireless charging too.The boxing, shipping was perfect.
