Why did I wait? They are a perfect companion to a good set of shears/clippers.Can clip on or you can thread a belt through.Holds the tool securely and makes it so you don’t leave the tool behind. Can walk around all day with them and even sit.Leather seems decent quality. Probably Gould treat for some more protection.Good product.Mexico does its fair share of leatherwork - top belts, etc. Of course I’d like to see more US manufacturing.

The leather and metal clip quality seem to be pretty decent. I would say overall I am happy with this sheath for my Corona pruners. However, I won't be using it every single day all day. What might be annoying for someone who is are these 2 issues. The nut that holds the halves of the shears together constantly catches on the metal tab from the clip inside the holster. If you flip it around, the bolt head with logo catches as well. If you just twist the handles the slightest bit when removing the pruners from the holster it unsnags. However, if I was doing this 100 times a day I could see where it might get aggravating. The second thing that was a bit annoying is that the sheath was a tight fit and on my particular pruners, BP 7100D Forged DualCUT Bypass Hand Pruner I had to wiggle it aroung a little to get the pruners to completely drop down to the bottom of the sheath. the opening of the sheath would tend to catch at the widest part of the handles. I feel that this is much less of an issue as i'm certain the leather will quickly stretch open with frequent use. I removed 1 star for honesty, but this would not have stopped me from buying this sheath. I think it would also be good to put leather treatment or snow seal on the leather for longevity. Overall, I think it is a useful sheath with a couple of minor points.

I bought this for my gardener wife because she wokd set it down and sometimes misplace it. She was doubtful at first carrying this on her hip but she quickly realized the convenience of having this essential yard tool near her.

Since it is brand specific to the pruners not more to add too.

I purchased the Felco F-910 Leather Holster, Corona AC 4510 Nylon Holster and the Corona Leather Holster. The Felco is a little small for my pruners and the metal clip is very tight for sliding over my pocket.- Overall, I liked the Felco the least of the three. However, on the plus side, you can be pretty sure that your pruners will not slide out of the Felco holster (you have to jam them in to get them in at all) and that the clip will not accidentally slide off your pocket or waistband.- I liked the feel of the Corona Nylon holster the best, but it is likely to be less durable. Previous experience with nylon holsters tells me the point of the pruners will wear a hole in the bottom eventually. The pruners fit great and the clip is easy to slide on my pants, but of the three probably also the easiest to accidentally slide off.- Overall, the best purchase is probably the Corona Leather Holster. It hits the sweet spot for durability, hold-on-to-my pruners, and the clip is tight enough to securely hang on to my pants without being to hard to get on to begin with. Why no voting buttons

Thicker pruners fit nicely in this well built scabbard. It's large enough to easily slide a pruner in and out of one handed. The sturdy leather holds the the pruner snugly enough to keep it from flopping around. The strong belt clip holds securely on a 1 1/2" wide belt which makes it a handy feature since you don't have to undo your belt in order to attach or remove the scabbard. The leather is strong and so is the stitching and rivets holding it together. Another useful added feature is the 3/8" hole conveniently punched in the top of the scabbard making it handy to hang up your holstered pruner. I use the Corona BP-3180 pruner with this scabbard and they go together perfectly.
