Yarn splits badly as you crochet, not useful for a beginner. Thankfully I bought better yarn.

My daughter is 8. She has never crocheted before. This is hard to follow for beginners. There is a YouTube video to watch so that is helpful.

This would make the perfect gift for a crafter in your life. The kit comes with everything you need so very beginner friendly. I like that it not only has the crochet guides - but there are videos that are a huge help. While my project didn't come out perfect (more user error than anything), it still passes as a pumpkin which is a 5/5 for me!

Was so excited when I saw this set, and even moreso when I got it on sale for Black Friday!These were only the second thing I ever crocheted, the first being a simple scarf. So they’re not perfect but I think they turned out pretty well considering!You do get everything you need, in the cutest box, and I personally found the video tutorials to be extremely helpful and thorough!My only complaint would be that I absolutely could not get the heads into the same round shape that the photos/videos did. I followed exactly, redid them many times, they never came out right :(I also had trouble with the ears, but it wasn’t the fault of the pattern, just a difficult part lol.I personally opted to change Dog***’s heart charm from the pattern to an altered form of the star from Cat***’s, and turn it into a sun. I wish Cat***’s had a moon instead of a star but it works.Over all this was very cute, fun, informative and I would absolutely love to tackle it again once I get more practice in.(Censoring names to avoid any potential future flagging of this item because they’re really cute and other fans of that particular playtime game may also like to be able to buy these)

It's a very nice project for Halloween. Enough yarn left for the additional pumpkins.
