The case itself seems fine--sturdy enough for basic car trips. It's not up to the quality of Road Runner cases in terms of durability, though. I would not ship an instrument in this case. More importantly, the inside depth of the main bowl is very deep--too deep for my Deering 12" Goodtime Americana open-backed banjo. I managed to mod the case with a homemade rigid foam insert that offers more support for the banjo body and also added a piece of foam at the head to keep it from slipping around in the case. This case is on the cheaper end of the spectrum and I'm glad it's available . . . but be sure to also buy some foam when you add this one to your cart.
