This mallet is not good for 3/4" hardwood flooring. While it won't scuff or ding the wood it immediately begins to fall apart with chunks of rubber flying everywhere. Lasted about 4 hours. Purchased a different mallet from a name brand tool manufacturer and are much happier.

This flooring mallet is a replacement for one that disappeared on the last job, this is a fantastic mallet and of great quality! If you do nail down flooring this mallet is an essential and you need one if not that and a spare! The rubber end is non marring and grips well to set planks. Great feel when hitting/ actuating the nailer also. This is just a straight forward great/ professional use mallet, if you need one you will be very happy with this one!

The mallet that came with my 24-year-old Bostitch flooring nailer is looking a little battered. I just rebuilt the nailer, so I figured I needed a new mallet to go with it.This unit is comparable to my original in both size, appearance, and feel. The diameter of the handle is the perfect size, and the mallet has good balance with a nice feel when swinging it.I can really find nothing wrong with this mallet. It is definitely a good inexpensive option if you need a new one.

This is a basic rubber mallet, but it seems to be very well made. I used it to put metal shelving together, so I'm not sure how it functions as a flooring mallet, but I would venture to say it would work well. It didn't have any durability issues when I used it, and I think it should last a long time! I will update this review if anything changes.

Feels very solid and sturdy. Gave it a few swings to tap some floating shelves into place and it worked well! For the price, this is a great find!

I put a Coke can in the pic for scale…This is a solid, substantial mallet that gets the job done. Comfortable in the hand and nice deadened impact.I hope this helps

This rubber hammer is good, shockproof and non-elastic, much easier to operate than ordinary hammers, not only protecting the floor but also protecting our wrists when laying the floor, good.C&T white rubber floor hammer, very well made, very good-looking, good quality, solid material, no burrs on the surface, very thick and comfortable to the hand, not too soft or too hard, it makes a banging sound when knocking, and you can use your strength when working. The gaps caused by the shrinkage of the wooden floor can be directly freed with this hammer, and it can be done without much effort. You can knock and hit all kinds of unevenness at home without worrying about damaging items. It feels very comfortable to hold, and it becomes more and more convenient the more you use it.

It's a very good flooring mallet, and I can't find any fault with it. The handle is hickory, and that is one strong wood. The handle feels nice and is finished well. The head has good weight to it, and while I don't have anything to weigh it with, feels to me to be around a couple pounds or so. The head doesn't wobble at all, and is firmly fixed to the handle. There is a statement in the description that the handle is fiberglass, but it is not, it is wood. I think someone made a mistake. It's long enough that the heavy head helps insure a good blow with each swing. For the price and what this offers, I can't think of anything to complain about, and would get it again.
