Your cart is empty.When you demand more from your towing equipment, CURT class 4 ball mounts answer the call. Our heavy-duty ball mounts are constructed from quality steel and feature a 2" x 2" shank. They are built to complement CURT class 4 trailer hitches and are perfect for towing large boat trailers, RVs, livestock and horse trailers as well as a variety of other farm and industrial-type trailers (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). With a few different drop height options and the ability to flip for optional rise, CURT class 4 ball mounts are built to work as hard as you do, from sunup to sundown. This class 4 ball mount has a gross trailer weight capacity of 10,000 lbs. and tongue weight rating of 1,000 lbs. It has a standard drop of 2" or can be flipped to provide 1" of rise. It also features a hollow shank, allowing an anti-rattle hitch pin or lock to be used for reduced noise and vibration. As with most of our ball mount line, CURT class 4 ball mounts are CNC-formed, robotically welded and mechanically descaled to create a flawless product. We finish our heavy-duty ball mounts in a gloss black powder coat to give them superior rust, chip and UV resistance. They also come with 1-1/4" ball hole to accept a trailer ball with a 1-1/4" shank.

I found a brand new 10,000# rated ball laying under my workbench so I figured I’d get a 10,000# ball mount to go with it. Works like I expected it to.

I have more than one of these. Strongly consider a version with ball pre-installed if it fits your use case. The tools needed to properly mount the ball of your choosing are not common (e.g. large wrenches and torque wrench that goes to hundreds of ft-lb). I do short occasional trips, but long trips or regular use definitely should have the ball tightened right or you’ll end up on the news or Facebook.

Still made in USA (so far) and still high quality! Welds are robotic welded, seems are very smooth and all are completed nicely. The fitment into my 2005 Tundra hitch is a bit loose but this seems to be the norm on Toyota trucks/SUVs. They are wider idkw? Some 2" locks are not wide enough for Toyota hitches. It has a nice weighty feel to it and compared to the Reese mount I'm replacing for hight reasons the steel in this Curt is a bit thicker just looking inside at the square tubing thickness. I did not buy a Curt ball for it as all the Curts I could locate are China made and I refuse to buy one not made in USA. All and all this mount is great but Curt lost money and my respect for outsourcing thier balls and it's not the first time from what I read online.Fact is nobody wants nor trusts China quality so stop trying to shove it down our thoats. -*Thanks all!
