As a beginner in the world of embroidery, I was quite impressed when I received this kit. It has everything that you need, and the instructions are easy to follow. There are also videos that you can watch on youTube to walk you through the steps if you aren't sure what to do. I look forward to working on these.I do wish it came with a storage bag/box to keep it all contained together.

This is a very complete kit with pretty much everything a total noob needs to start embroidering. The hoop is quite thin but that’s totally all you need. There are tons of patterns and tons of guides.The thread / yarn is fine enough, I don’t like that it came in plastic ziplocks instead of a case or any other type of organizer, but I guess that’s what danish cookie tins are for lol.I don’t really have much experience with embroidery so I actually thought the thread would be more or less on par with normal thread, just a bit thicker, this is more like a poly/silky blend that is much wider than normal thread but also smooth and slinky.I wouldn’t give it to a kid, but probably a preteen?

This kit came with so much more than I was expecting! The thread colors are very vibrant and seem good quality. It can seem intimidating at first glance, but the instructions are through rough and great for beginners!

This is a fantastic embroidery kit. You get pre-printed fabric for 6 different projects with an embroidery hoop. You also get a set of needles, a threader, a pair of scissors and a seam ripper. It’s a very complete kit with everything you need.I especially like the pre-printed designs. There are four projects to progress in your learning, and two projects for display once you learn all your stitches. This is a wonderful embroidery set that anyone who wants to learn embroidery will enjoy.

I'm obsessed with embroidery right now, and these are the perfect way to learn and practice new stitches before tackling a real design. The set has everything a beginner would need, and there's plenty of string color options. The value is exceptional -- it takes the complication out of considering what to buy to start a hobby. And if it's not your thing, then you haven't over invested!

My wife has had a bit of experience with basic embroidery, but really wanted this kit to try to learn more, and we are really impressed with it. First, it comes in a very nice box, so would be a great gift. It has literally everything you will need to get started, including all the canvases (which are polyester, which is maybe the only thing she isn't thrilled with as she prefers natural fabrics, but they DO look nice and sleek). It actually came with 25 different flosses, unlike the "only" 20 advertised, and they are good quality. All the extras like the scissors and floss sorting board are decent, if not great quality, and should work well. The one included hoop is nicely made and smoothly finished; my wife would have preferred enough hoops to frame each piece, or at least two hoops for the two final floral project pieces. And the price is great; the original price of $19.99 is excellent for a kit like this, and I see now it is down to only $16.99, so it's really a steal. I would definitely recommend getting this kit, whether for yourself or for a gift. You won't be disappointed!
