Have had several of these over the years... A good simple solution and a time saver (since you don't have to break down a bunch of old-school cassets and harvest the cogs and spacers)... The spacers are light, round and do the job. the various thicknesses of the spacers is enough to get your chainline right. The cog that comes with it is OK, functions well, and looks pretty good... but it's not the "blingy cogs" that you pay a lot of $$$ for.Usually, I just use the spacers and put the cog the parts bin with my other free cogs for when I need that particular size.

I bought the 18T kit to convert a an old road bike to single speed. Installation was easy and so far no issues with durability. The cog is aluminum, but the spacers are plastic, so not too sure about long term durability. I may eventually swap those out for aluminum spacers, but for now they work fine. Good price too.

It works fine, especially for the price. Seems to be decent quality

I have 2 freewheels 1 is Shimano MF TZ500-7 & other is no name china knock off, Shimano has a threaded sprocket the other has threaded end similar to photo's of item. Both freewheel are the same diameter Between the 2 I did not have enough spacer. I purchased these & they are way to small.

Really simple conversion kit, converted an old Bontrager 10speed wheel into a single speed freewheel for my pub bike. Came with plenty of different sized spacers so easy to arrange to get a nice straight chainline. Perfect!

Cuando lo compre casi no había este tipo de piñones para adquirir en tienda en línea, lo pagué bastante caro porque después ví que en Ali express venden productos similares y mejores a mejores precios.Sin embargo este producto cumple hasta la fecha con su función.

I had an extra spacer left over after I complete the installation. the various thickness of spacers provided can be installed, along with the sprocket provided, to easily align the rear (wheel) sprocket with the front (pedal / crank-set) sprocket. The aluminum spacers and sprocket feels too light, and little flimsy. I'm sure the aluminum will wear fine and only "feels" flimsy because my beach cruiser is a chunky steel frame. The wheel I'm installing this set on is 20mm wide rim (inside rim width).I recommend this product, and I would buy it again.

I used this to make my mid-nineties stumpjumper a single speed. Very easy to convert from an 8 speed. I'm not sure if they sell smaller tooth cogs but the one I got is 16t, which would be awesome except I'm running a 32t chainring so its a spinny MF when riding in traffic. Its survived a montreal winter so I cant really complain.

Okay, I honestly only bought this kit for the spacers. It was the cheapest way I could find some spacers without buying a whole singlespeed kit. The spacers are perfect and have splines machined in them to keep them from spinning. They also are definitely aluminum -- not plastic -- as other reviewers have stated. My biggest problem with this set is how poorly the parts were machined. The cog would not even fit onto my hub because it was just a millimeter or two too small -- see photo. Even if it did fit, however, I wouldn't use it on my aluminum hub body because it is very thin and would dig into the hub body, causing damage eventually. (Note the comparison photo with a beefy, more expensive, cog). The lock ring fits well onto the hub, however due to more poor machining work, my Park Tool FR-1 (a tool meant for tightening and loosening this part) would not fit into the splines on the lock ring without a bit of tapping that quite frankly scared me. I included a photo showing just the spacers on the hub for size comparison.

I used this kit as one of the components to convert a road bike to a single speed. For background, I have a lot of experience with bicycles and am pretty good at determining the relative quality of components. I have experience with Wolftooth Components on a few bikes and consider that to be excellence with respect to these types of components (single speed or 1x setups). For this single speed setup, I used a Wolftooth chainring and a Wolftooth cog in the rear. But I needed spacers to put on my shimano freehub to tie everything together. Many of the kits were pretty expensive, but this one was inexpensive and well reviewed. It works wonderfully, exactly as advertised. The spacers (and everything in the kit) are METAL, not plastic, as some reviewers seemed to indicate. They're definitely aluminum, NOT painted plastic. There are plenty of spacers and in different sizes so it was really simple to get a perfectly straight chainline. I used their supplied 16T cog to try it out and see if 16T was right for me, but opted for my 19T Wolftooth cog. The Wolftooth is clearly a better cog, but this is no slouch. It's well made, solid, and has a pretty wide base so as to not eat into the freehub as badly. To be fair, the Wolftooth cog by itself is $60, literally four times the price of this entire conversion kit.Overall, excellent deal and excellent quality. The only thing I would like to see in the future would be a selection of various cog sizes rather than just the 16T. But I absolutely would buy this kit again, especially if I needed a 16T cog.
