This stand is too light to support any typical ride cymbal, or even a light crash, it will fall over. The stand has audible ringing. The added weight for the boom won’t actually stick to the boom because there is no texture on the end of the boom. The weight was also made with a cheap phillips screw instead of a drum key type screw. The manufacturing quality is so cheap that it really is not worth buying, it’s trash.

It's not Ludwig or Tama hardwear but really sturdy built. My brother had a set of Pearls and the hardwear and stands we comparable . 5 star,,,

I'm mixed on this one. I read a few reviews that mentioned the quality of this so thought I'd try one out on my newest addition - an 18" Sabian O-Zone crash. If you own stands from a known/reputable brand and expecting similar quality, you're going to be disappointed. Tolerances aren't good, it's lightweight and it feels "cheap" by comparison. Even with sections tightened down, there's play in them. Things you just don't see on a stand built by Tama, Pearl or DW, for example. That said, there are some positives:The good:1. I like the boom arm length. It's much longer than the short boom arms on my DW3000's.2. Lightweight - could be a positive if you gig and looking for something that's "good enough" for smaller/mid-sized cymbals (as long as it holds up to frequent setup/teardown/transport, that is).3. The price - I mean, c'mon...$50ish? The price is very good. The bad:1. Construction is pretty crude compared to quality stands, materials are lighter-weight/lower-quality, the sections have play in them, nuts don't tighten/loosen as freely, and the sections don't adjust nearly as smoothly. The main (bottom) section on mine refuses to slide at all, but it works as is with just the upper section adjusting.2. Not as stable as quality brands. I ended up moving my 18" crash to another stand and putting a 14" crash on this stand. It works fine for this, but I wouldn't put, say, a 22" ride cymbal on this stand. Even with my lightweight 14" cymbal, I rotated the legs to keep it from tipping over when smashing the cymbal.3. The counterweight is worthless....adds almost zero weight and difficult to attach to the arm without stripping the screw head.Summary: My title sums up how I feel about this. Half as good for half the cost, so I'd call it a wash. To get into a decent cymbal stand the starting point is around $100 so I thought this would be an interesting experiment. I don't normally go cheap on my stuff but based on reviews (and how many cymbals I own) I felt pretty good about this purchase. That said, yes, I'm going to keep this, but no, I'm not going to buy another. I nearly added a 2nd to my cart, and glad that I didn't. This ends my experiment on low-cost no-name stands. Back to the known brands for me.If your budget is sub-$100 I bet you'd be happier buying a used stand locally.

I own lots of drum hardware from DW 9000 series, to cheaper PDP 700 series, and have bought a few more stands in the $40-50 range for drum sets I leave at practice or ready to travel, and this is the best I have seen so far in this low price range.

I've purchased 3 of these stands. I've been very pleased with the stands. I use my stand's for a home kit that I have. I never break them down so I don't know how durable they would be for someone who is playing gig's and constantly breaking them down. For a home kit or back up stand for the road they are a great value.

This is an excellent product. Shipping was, as always, extremely fast. Assembly was non-existent. Very heavy duty for the price, i thought it would be junk and was pleasantly surprised. It could handle a zildjian 22" ride easily due to the dounterweight.
