I didn't check when I ordered a front derailleur and accidentally ordered the braze on when I wanted the clamp on. Then I waited to put it on my bike until well past the return deadline. This is the solution to my problems. It clamps on and positions easily and lets me really adjust the front derailleur easily. It stays in place too.

I have installed this onto my mountain bike and it has been working very well. Installing this adaptor is extremely simple and all I had to do was make sure it is the correct diameter. The adaptor itself feels of good quality material and sturdy. All in all, this is a useful adaptor that feels of good quality and is very easy to install.

Neat little adapter allows you to use a braze on type derailleur in a band-on fitting.Take care that you have properly read the spec sheet or measured your bike's tube before ordering this as they are available in a couple of sizes and it can be easy to order the wrong size if you haven't measured with callipers.This unit does the job well, recommended.
