Traditional picks produce a harsh tone on the ukulele, which is why felt has been the go-to material for ukulele picks for years. The D’Addario Ukulele Felt Pick creates that same warm tone with more projection, while the elliptical cutout provides extra grip and flexibility. In addition to ukulele, these picks are excellent alternatives to finger plucking on bass guitar. D'Addario features one of the widest range of guitar picks in the industry. With various material choices to find the tone you are looking for, to the various shapes to fit your comfort needs, D'Addario has the pick for you. Look no further.

I have tried a number of ukulele picks, and these are my favorite. Not too hard, not too soft. The little hole really helps me keep a grip on it while playing.

A lot of reviewers don’t seem to understand that these felt picks are impregnated with glue to strengthen them. This means they don’t really bend, except a bit at the cutout. They can be used right out of the envelope, when the edges are square (see photo, the bottom pick). They are louder that way. Remember that it is felt, so there are lots of tiny hairs sticking out, and they are glue-impregnated, so if you put your ear near the strings when picking, you will hear a slight rasping sound, and you may also feel it when you play. That will also slow down your picking a bit.Get an Emory board—fingernail file—and file a bevel onto each side of the end. (See photo, the upper pick). Then use a fingernail buffing file to make that smoother and take off the fuzz you’ve created with the Emory board. This takes a couple minutes of work. Now when you play, you will hear or feel very little rasp. The picking will sound much softer and smoother, and your picking will be faster. The tone will be rounder and fuller than with the pick untouched, but also not as loud. Much more uke tone with less pick noise.I myself prefer a StringJoy Orange Jazz Pick, regular size. It has a very sharp, fast attack, and I also use it on my very expensive guitars for that reason. I also like the Fred Kelly Standard Delrin smooth pick, 0.66mm, which comes in a ten pack, though the ads here don’t mention that. But I use picks to cut through a crowd. I prefer a fingerpicking style when playing jazz uke.

Very thick and hard. No flex. Like the grip though

I wouldn't say they're necessary for every uke player, but if you're used to guitars, they're perfect. They feel sturdy & durable without being too thick and make the uke sound warm. Good value overall.

The first thing most, if not ALL of you are going to notice, is that this pick is stiff.I hated it at first, as I was using a 0.35mm pick for my Ukulele, but know I needed to replace it as the plastic pick against the plastic strings was too loud.Once I got the pick, I regret my decision immediately. I was saying "Damn, this is a thicc boi...." but I wanted to make sure I gave it, its best chance. So what I did, was I bent the pick back and forth, loosened it up really good, played on my Ukulele for about an hour after doing that, and now the thing feels so good. The sound IS amazing as well. It's clear, but muffled, and sounds like you are playing with your fingers/thumb instead of a pick. If you play Uke with a guitar pick, get this, and just give it a shot, you wont regret it.

The pic produces a clear sound, is easy to hold, and protects my fingers from damage.
