There's two givens with all hose attached watering methods: (1) minute particles are found in all city and well water (2) over time these particles clog up nose nozzles and sprinklers. Depending on where you live and your watering usage, you might only get 2 - 3 years out of an expensive attachment before it begins to fail. Unless you use one of these.These are effectively a hose washer with a built-in filter. Rather than replace a $15 nozzle every couple of years I now put one of these in each of several hose attachments I use on our property. When the water pressure from the attachment begins to reduce I simply replace the washer - typically once each year where I live. The match it simple: A 10-pack lasts my over a year. At under $1 a year I now get 5 - 7 years out of all my hose attachments. Well worth buying this modest quantity.

Have a bunch of washer hoses for my laundromat. These work great to keep debris out of the machines. The water supply is good but not perfect. These do the trick!

These fit, the screens are securely attached, and they caught all of the gunk when the interior of my hose disintegrated without letting any of it get through to my RV plumbing system.. Good deal.

I had some older orbit timers and the washer was some plastic thing that had disintegrated all throughout the timer. Finally figured it out then could not find anything to replace it. Till took a chance on these Danco washers. Fit just dandy and did a good job.
