I bought it as a sinker for Shad fishing. Easy to cut using a regular knife. weight can be changed by cutting along its length. Solid core Lead. Served my purpose perfectly.

Nowhere does the product description state how much wire you will receive by weight or length. I had assumed that this would have been two pounds according to the price when compared to other one pound products. Turned out to be only one pound. Good quality wire, nothing wrong with the product.

I didn't use it for fishing, but it was easy to cut/unwind, and it melts pretty quickly as long as you have it over a solid flame, like a fire. A single candle wick was not warm enough to melt it.
