I knit and crochet as well as craft other things and this tool looked to be a great method to repair knitted or crocheted items. It works well, but there is a learning curve. I bought a larger one and wished I had purchased the smaller one, due to size of the disc it barely fits in socks. It does work well on jeans and larger clothes. My only difficulty is with the rubber bands that hold the item in place while you darn or weave. That is my only real complaint, it works okay but heavy-duty bands would help.
