Plastic pulley separated from the bearing within the first 5 miles of driving. In doing so, also destroyed the brand new, expensive belt. Went to OEM and got a metal pulley that is holding strong 3000 miles later.

If you are putting on a new belt then go ahead and change these... they are a know part to fail on the 3.0 Mercedes motors
