I really wanted this to work. After watching videos online, this looked like the preamp I needed for my small setup. Unfortunately, this thing has a mind of its own. Everything will be setup correctly and working fine and 5 minutes later, the thing is whacking out. Thought it might be elsewhere in my audio chain (the Focusrite perhaps) but after isolating different parts, this most definitely proved to be the issue. When it works, it sounds amazing! But I cant get it to work for longer than 30 minutes at a time.

I use for my internet radio sets and after minor calibrations the dbx 286s is working perfect. My sound now has the radio sound I was seeking for my voice. I now have richness and quality in my live radio sounds when speaking during my live broadcast.
