The first thing that I noticed when I got this was that it was very light. It almost felt like balsam, but it states that it is pine. It was not going to be suitable for my intended needs, as what I was going to put in it would be too heavy and break it. But that's okay. I like boxes and hideaways for things that I don't want cluttering up the house. So it will be repurposed at some point. I got the large size and it's quite large. Big enough even for letters. It's ventilated, as shown, so that might affect what you decide to place inside of it as well. Just know that it's very light, quite large and not sealed. The gold latch is a nice look with it, even if gold isn't my favorite metal. There's so little of it on the large box, that it's barely noticed with just a quick glance. I'll figure out a use for this and continue my search for a sturdier box.

This decorative box looks nice, but it feels cheaply made. I ordered this because I thought it might be some decorative storage. After taking it out of the box, I still think that it looks attractive, but it’s fairly light and cheaply made and I worry that it wouldn’t hold up with wear and tear if I were to actually use this for storage. The metal clasp is very light and cheap and has a gold film over it. I think if you mainly want this for decoration, it would be good - however if you’re looking for storage, I would recommend you find something more durable.
