I recently purchased a new "Delta Faucet RP39345SS Spray and Hose Assembly, Stainless" from Amazon because the sprayhead on our unit was leaking. The hose was in good condition. I installed the new Assembly, and it looked great and worked perfectly as before the leak. Apparently, Delta doesn't sell the sprayhead alone and one needs to purchase the whole expensive assembly with Sprayhead and hose. I wondered if there was a way to recondition the Sprayhead (postponing the need for a new Assembly), but found no instructions on the internet, although there might be some. Experimentation led to the reconditioning Procedure described in this review.PROCEDURE (Refer to attached Photo which is of my old sprayhead after reconditioning)Note: I didn't need to turn off the water under my sink for the Procedure below because water flows to the Sprayhead only when the sink faucet is "turned" on. Pressing the Sprayhead Plunger causes faucet water to divert to the Spray Nozzle with minimal or no flow out the sink faucet. When the Sprayhead is removed from the hose in the Procedure below, and the faucet is turned on, water will flow freely out the end of the hose (a cautionary note). A leak in the Sprayhead occurs at the Plunger (and not at the hose-Sprayhead connection) and is likely due to any situation which slows or inhibits outward movement of the Plunger after it is pressed. A "lazy" plunger is likely caused by mineral deposits, loss of lubrication on the O-Rings inside the Sprayhead and "crud" buildup on the sides of the plunger. The O-Rings and spring on the valve piece inside the Sprayhead will likely be in good condition and will not need to be replaced.Removal of Hose and Disassembly of Sprayhead and Cleaning1) With the right hand, tightly grasp the dark gray plastic part connecting the hose to the sprayhead and grasp the sprayhead with the left hand and turn the sprayhead counterclockwise to unscrew the two parts. Some effort may be required. The male plastic part fitting into the sprayhead has threads and an O-Ring. Coating the O-Ring and threads with more plumber's silicone grease does not stop the leak around the Plunger. Photo #1 shows the removed sprayhead dissembled.2) Stick your index finger or thumb into the housing and turn counterclockwise to remove the "Threaded End" (#2 in Photo). If fingers don't work, use an acceptable tool. Carefully remove the spring and don't lose it!3) Looking into the end of the Housing, you will see central white rod with a + in the end. This is one end of what I call the "Water Valve" (#3 in the Photo) Carefully use a tool to start to pull it out. It will offer resistance as the valve may have built-up mineral deposits. As you begin to pull the Water Valve out, the "Plunger" (#4 in the Photo) will collapse against the housing because it has lost its connection with the nippled end of the Water Valve. At this point, the Plunger can be removed. You may see the white nippled (other) end of the Water Valve protruding into the plunger cavity. Pushing on this end with your finger or other instrument will help remove the Water Valve" from the housing and spare any unnecessary pulling on the other end of the Water Valve.4) Soak all parts in white vinegar, or better, one of the commercial products which claims to remove lime, calcium and rust and which may contain sulfamic acid. Use a toothbrush or other item to facilitate removal of the mineral deposits. Use a cotton-tipped swab to clean the inside of the Water Valve hole. Make sure the 18 holes in the Spray Nozzle are cleaned. The sides of the plunger may have built up grime on it (mine did) and this caused resistance between the plunger and the housing which did not allow the spring to completely push out the Plunger and close the valve. Remove all this grime. Rinse all the parts well with clean water and dry or let dry.Reassembly of Sprayhead1) Rub a thin coat of plumber's silicone grease (I got mine from Amazon), or equivalent on the two O-Rings on the Water Valve (IMPORTANT). Add some of the grease to a cotton swab and apply a thin coat of grease to the Water Valve hole in the Housing. The physical condition of the O-Rings will likely be ok, if not they could possibly be replaced from a hardware store. The spring will likely be ok. If not, I suppose this could be replaced also. I didn't replace either and I was able to restore my sprayhead for the next time I need it.2) Insert the Water Valve" into the housing and push it into the hole in the housing but push it only far enough that the white nipple does not extend into the plunger cavity.3) Install the Plunger and push it flat against the Housing. You will see how it goes with 30 seconds of playing around with it. Then use a finger to push the Water Valve down as far as it can go inside the Housing so that the white nipple at its end (unseen at this point) pushes into a hole in the plunger, thus engaging it. Because of the cleaning and grease, it will slide easily. If you don't get it right the first time continue to play. You won't hurt anything.4) Finally, slide the spring over the end of the Water Valve, Then, center the spring in the Threaded End positioning it inside the 3 prongs of the Threaded End. Push down on the Threaded End compressing the spring and use your index finger or thumb to turn the piece clockwise and secure it. At this point the Plunger should have good spring action and should freely push in and return all the way out. As you push on the plunger, you will see the + end of the "Water Valve" move up and down. Tighten the Threaded End a bit more with a tool if you wish, but not too tight that the part will break.5) Rub a thin coat of silicone plumber's grease on the rubber O-Ring of the water supply hose and reattach the hose to the sprayhead, turning it tightly by hand in a clockwise direction. If you want to use silicon tape on the threads before screwing the two parts together, do so.6) Congratulations, you just successfully reconditioned your Delta sprayhead!

Bought a delta porter kitchen faucet about 10-12 years ago when we redid our kitchen..overall we've been happy with it,it still looks like new but age and use has been taking its toll...i first had to rebuild the cartridges when they started leaking a year or two ago, then in this most recent round the spout o ring was leaking..then finally when getting that done and checking for leaks we discovered that the sprayer handle was leaking slightly as well..there didnt seem to be a way to take that apart and fix it..so i ordered this,it took about 5 minutes to remove the old one and replace it,it didnt even require any tools, check yours before ordering tho as delta has made at least a few different connector types..in the end the handle shape is very slightly different but the delta stainless finish is a spot on match to our original..and finally for now i have no more leaks anywhere..hopefully with nothing more to go wrong it'll now last another decade

Fits great and matches the finish of my faucet perfectly. My only complaint is the quick disconnect clip is clearly shown installed on the hose assembly but in fact is NOT included. I was able to reuse mine from the old sprayer. Might want to update the product picture to accurately reflect the contents.

Great product but very poor instructions for someone like me who had no idea what I was doing. Went to hardware store and took 4 men before could figure out what was wrong with installation without purchasing additional items

Perfect replacement for my Delta side sprayer. This is the one with the quick disconnect. The old one was a snap to get out. For the new one, all I had to do was line it up and push it in. It snapped in right away and did not leak. The hose is plenty long, a bit on the stiff side, just like the original. No leaks, no fuss. 5-minute swap Not sure that its worth $40, but after using a cheaper knock-off before, you're better off with the real thing.

All I really needed was the sprayer head but could not find a fit in my finish, so I bought this. Didn’t realize that the copper stems coming down from the faucet was flexible. Finally got the old connection off by pinching it like a clothespin. The old o-ring stuck on the stem, so every time I tried to install the new fittings, it wouldn’t click in. Then the new o-ring fell out, and it leaked. Finally found the o-ring, placed it back, and it clicked in. It was good I replaced the whole hose because the old o-ring was dry and brittle. I hope this review will help someone if they have to place there side sprayer hose. This should be easy to install.

Product was exactly what I had expected and hoped for - good quality & easy to install. Just a little surprised that it took 3 days to arrive when I selected overnight/next day delivery. Because there's water always running through a side sprayer we were without our kitchen sink for this period of time - very frustrating.

The stainless sprayer was a perfect match, but the clip on the hose for the under sink connection was less than perfect with a very slow leak. Fortunately, I was able to use the old hose from the original sprayer and the new sprayer to get a perfect, leak free assembly. I needed the sprayer and not the hose so I'm giving this purchase a five star rating, but I'd give the included hose a one or two star rating due to the unacceptable leak. For my needs I'm 100% satisfied with this item. If you can't use your old hose, buy with caution and remember that your under sink connection may not have the issue I had.
