I loved this kit. All the parts were sorted nicely and explained well in the instructions. I am very happy with the way it turned out, considering this was my first time making one of these pin ornaments!!

When applying the ribbon circling the ball, I would use direction 7 to secure the ribbon in place. Be prepared to glue the four gems. When they recommend “careful” measuring- they mean it. If off in the beginning, it will show. Do not lose any of the flower sequins- there are no extras! I would tip each pin upon insertion with a spot of glue - especially the pearl headed pins - they slip out of the foam ball easily. And yes, finding the hole in the dark blue beads was a challenge. I will do another one just to do it better.

I enjoy making & designing ornaments for our tree & family. Purchased 2 & are , asking them my own. They're fun to make, let me be creative & receive compliments on my designs. I'll buy more. The blues are beautiful!

My biggest complaint is that the largest gem - the centerpiece of each side - came without holes drilled in it for the pin. The directions said glueing was an option. The kit comes with no glue. So the kit is incomplete. I used doubled sided tape to adhere mine as I had no glue. Otherwise, the final product is fine. Some of the heads and the cording felt very cheap. Not what I was expecting for the price. I did enjoy the process - will seek out other kit makers. The whole assembly took about an hour to an hour and a half while watching a movie.

Some of the smaller beads do not look like the picture and were of inferior quality. Paid pretty good money for this and was disappointed. Some of the pins to apply the beads were flawed and couldn't use them. I bought better beads at the craft store, as this was a birthday gift for my husbands son and I didn't want it to look low quality.

My husband has been making these ornaments for many years and then uses them for Christmas presents. He buys special ones for the family members This one will go to our grandson because he said " I would like a dark blue one " Of course, out of the ones he had he (my husband) he did not have a dark blue one and so we went searching and found this one. I'm sure our grandson will be very happy with it.. Thank you.
