Seeing mostly positive reviews for this rack and pinion, the only concern I had while ordering was that some people were saying if I was purchasing it for a 2008 Saturn Aura XE, I would need some kind of special seals. One review said that he thought they updated this package to come with the special seals.I even reached out BEFORE ordering and asked the seller if this product came with the seals. They dodged the question and simply said, "This is a perfect fit for your 2008 Saturn Aura."My garage finally started on my car work today, said everything from the control arms, tye rods and rack fit PERFECTLY. EXCEPT!... Something about the hose is too small for the rack.Is this what people were saying I need the seals for? And where do I find them? Please help.I love the affordability of this product. Lets make it a banger and update it to ship with seals.I may be returning mine if I cannot find the seals.*** UPDATE ***My garage could not find the rack and pinion seals at all. However, they had an old rack laying around and used the ones from it and placed them onto this one. Got my '08 Saturn Aura XE back the other day and has been running GREAT.So PLEASE, Detroit Axel, package this WITH THE SEALS. I had just started my return process for this part when my mechanic called and told me he found a solution. I would give it 5 stars but due to the problems finding those seals, it was a nightmare. Great part but missing rack and pinion seals.I really hope this helps future buyers.

This rack and pinion doesn’t come with the high pressure seals make sure yours are good or know where to find them I’m having a hard time finding the proper seals

Unfortunately this Rack and Pinion Assembly was defective out of the box. After installing it, there were still steering issues so I had a mechanic replace the steering pump which didn't fix the problem. After much time I paid another mechanic who diagnosed that this Rack and Pinion assembly was defective. He installed another one, from another company, and now everything works great. Needless to say I was very disappointed. This purchase ended up costing me an additional $750.00- $1,000.00 because I had to do the $750 rack and pinion replacement twice, an alignment twice and unnecessarily changed the steering pump. :( Seller would not give a return because I was outside of the 30 day return or refund window.

You need to buy special seals when installing it or else it will leak, however, in the description it now sais they provide special seals so I think they updated the seals so that they actually work now. Despite the inconvenience of having my power steering leak out and have my pump damaged as a result, I was issued a partial refund for my troubles and it seems like they have taken steps to ensure that the rack now comes with the proper seals, glad to see a company taking feedback and actually putting it into practice and trying to make things right with their customers without giving me a big hassle.As far as the rack goes, it works fine once as long as you make sure the seals that connect from the hose to the rack work properly and arent leaking, good quality rack.
