Ive put about 800 on my steering rack so far and haven’t had any issues. Great product for the price. seems to be remanufactured and the paint they painted it with is useless. I noticed a small leak from the pressure side of the power steering pump side. After careful inspection noticed my old OEM one had 2 Teflon seals in it. The return line so far hasn't leaked so i did not remove it to put a new one on. The part number for the seals for a 1999 ford ranger xlt 3.0L is a Dorman 82540, $4.99 on Amazon. Great Rack nonetheless. Definitely have to remove the cooler and the torsion bar makes it easier getting this put in.

I have been ordering almost all my axles' bearings and other automotive items. They are consistently the best out there. Have a problem? Give em a call. Only one time was I disappointed in the customer service. I let it go and thought i just got the wrong person. These racks are in excellent condition and use them several times now.

This is the second one and it leaks, it was the replacement for the first one I ordered which leaked immediately upon starting the vehicle. Not even driven. And leaking from both sides, you know where you're inner tie rod are. Don't waste your time and money.

The power steering rack ended up having a catastrophic leak to one of the main seals which resulted in the power steering fluid reservoir having to be refilled once a day. Unfortunately by the time I had the power steering rack installed on my truck, it was outside the Amazon return window. Never fear, after contacting the company who sold the item, they offered the option to send it back to them for a replacement, I would just have to pay shipping. Unfortunately as this is my only vehicle it wasn’t an option to just take apart my power steering system and send it off in the mail & have no vehicle for weeks on end. I ended up buying a part from a local auto parts store which is under a lifetime warranty and traded in the faulty one from here as a core. My recommendation is, any auto parts with moving parts that are likely to fail over time, get them from an auto parts store with an unlimited warranty. Super easy to get it replaced again since it’s local and not a company out of state.

Fit for a 1998 Ford ranger perfect. Auto part store wanted 350.00 with core, so you save a lot of money going this route

Great product! But was not aware that old valve needed to be removed and installed on unit, maybe some instructions for the novice.
