This is a no-frills devotional or emergency candle—nothing fancy, just a plain white paraffin candle in a glass jar. It’s well-poured with no bubbles, and the wax feels like quality. The wick is centered at the top but slightly off at the bottom, which isn’t a dealbreaker but is worth noting. It burns fine, and the included card with instructions on preventing tunneling is good for those who have never burned a tall, narrow candle like this before.That said, this is the kind of candle you can find at any dollar store or bodega for a fraction of the price. If you’re looking for a plain glass candle and don’t want one with a saint’s image, you can always buy a standard one and soak off the label. Unless you specifically need this exact version delivered to your door, I’d recommend picking one up locally instead.

When I ordered this candle, I was hoping it was an authentic 7 day candle and not a candle that I can normally purchase at a dollar store, for a fraction of the price listed here. Well, this candle is almost comparable to a dollar store candle, except that the wax consistency is of better quality. The candle is not large like an authentic 7 day candle, nor does it burn for anywhere near 7 days. It's basically a slightly more premium dollar store candle, that burns more evenly and steadily. The only reason why this may be a better deal than a dollar store candle, is the wax quality and, that you can have just one candle shipped to you for the price listed, with shipping included.

This is a nice candle, it burns for a really long time. I lost count of the number of days it actually burned, but it did not burn for the length of a full 9 day novena. There is no reason to deduct stars for that, but it is worth noting. It is a pretty creamy white, and it burned fairly clean. The candle is tall, and the glass is thick. It was well wrapped and packed for safe shipping. I would consider reordering.

This is my second Estrella Blanca candle. It’s exactly what it says on the tin: a plain devotional or votive candle. I got it for display purposes and it’s just what I was looking for.I’m sure it’d be great for a craft project, but I intend to use it as is.

This is a beautiful, classic, tall devotional candle by Estrella Blanca. The quality glass is thick and sturdy, filled with pristine white wax. This long-lasting 7-day candle is perfect for my altar. It is very reasonably priced for the nice quality and worth purchasing a few at a time. It is also eligible for Subscribe & Save for an even better deal.

I wanted to make my own devotional candle and printed out an image using sticker paper. This candle, with my sticker, looks indistinguishable from my other devotional candles - the size, candle, glass, etc are all the same (except, obviously, the image). This is perfect for any customization, or would be nice as a blank slate for a centerpiece candle arrangement. The glass is weighty and symmetrical. I haven't burnt the candle yet, but the candle itself (which you can see through the glass) has no air pockets or bubbles or anything that could cause an issue. It has no scent. Overall, this is exactly what I needed - a blank, white, plain devotional candle in glass that I could put a saint image onto.

I bought this devotional candle for a practice I'm doing that involves keeping the candle lit for 3 days straight. The candle seems to burn nice and even, doesn't have any off-putting scent, and is in a nice sturdy glass jar.

I got this for stocking in my emergency supplies and tested it out for this review. What can you say about a candle other than it burns as you'd want it to and doesn't have any scent if you're sensitive to fragrance. I will say I recently saw similar candles at a dollar tree so these are more expensive; however the candle being plain means you can decorate it for any event easily. Only deducted a star due to cost compared to dollar tree. An emergency candle shouldn't cost as much as a scented one from B&BW.
