Light and versatile, this Cordless powerful sander will never let you down. Look for when it is on sale. Found one for $110 from regular $179. Great for sanding wood and drywall. Use 240-grit and higher for drywall mud.

Easy to hold, has a bag to collect dust which is very effective. Multiple speeds to handle different surfaces. Handyman stuff is not me but anyone can use this. I was surprised that the rechargeable battery only lasted about an hour. Good idea to buy two so you can charge while still working.

Do not buy name brand through Amazon. If the the item breaks within the return window you can return for refund. How ever after that return window closes you are screwed. I took my Dewalt cordless sander into Home Hardware in Waterdown for repair 3 months old sander, they said i have to send it out to a Dewalt repair facility at my expense because i bought it through Amazon. if i would have bought it at an authorized dealer they would replace it.

Good balance , not heavy even with a 5 ah battery in place. Low profile with battery sliding sideways instead of top to bottom as is the case with Milwaukee this way the battery does not come in the way of the wrist and does not interfere with the all important grip while sanding vertical surfaces. This is the best tool in its class on the market in my opinion. Easy to use dust bag which you just push and turn with no finicky resin box that are hard to open or reattach like other manufacturers. Very user friendly tool, I give it 5 out of 5stars. By the way, does a good job with an awesome 20v 5ah XR LITHIUM BATTERY. This kit comes with variable speed sander, 20V XR 5ah battery, battery charger and carry bag. You need to bring your own sanding disc.

Nice little sander. I did a lot of research before landing on this one. I kept coming back to this one because of the portability. I was reluctant to buy it because I figured with the dust collection and a battery, that it would be super limiting, but that hasn't been an issue yet. What is amazing, is how quickly it comes to full rest after shutting it off. I mean super quick. You will be amazed as well.

Good little sander. Not going to replace my 6” corded sander but a good tool to have in the toolkit for quick on site touch-ups. Good runtime on a 5ah battery. The dust bag collects a surprising amount of dust. Not too heavy even with a 5ah battery. Nice balance and easy to control. Recommended for anyone with the dewalt line.

WARNING - this comes with a US standard 110v battery charging unit with a US plug - not suitable for use with UK 240v.‘Carry case’ small - just big enough for the sander and battery - not very robust, nylon construction. Not very good value for money.

I am extremely happy with my DeWalt sander. It does an excellent job and is quick and efficient to use. I was amazed at how easy it was to sand my plank to a furniture-smooth surface. The only drawback is inherent in the circular design--it can't get into corners but that was obvious when I made the purchase.

I purchased this sander to replace a corded one and it is great. So flexible, easy to use, and powerful. it's nice to be able to just bring it to some place in the house to sand something that is not easy to move without having to lug extension cords all over. The dust bag works well to capture the dust so it keeps the area clean. Worth considering.

Love this sander! I’m a finish carpenter and bought this about a year ago now, I use it almost every day and has held up perfectly. It comes with the larger 5amp battery which is awesome, dust collector comes off way easier than my older corded model and has great power. Would recommend to anyone!

As usual DeWalt got it right with this tool.Pros:1) Cordless so maximum portability and locations it can be used2) Decent weight and balance3) Great power and easy to use controls4) Solid run time with the 20V Lithium Ion batteries5) A dust canister that works, even is spring 'loaded' so you can squeeze it by obstaclesI actually believe the weight of the battery dampens or counters the vibration reducing hand fatigue.Cons:The battery and dust canister stick out a bit more than corded models so it cannot get it tight corners as easily - but that is a small con.As you may have concluded I am thoroughly impressed with the DeWalt 20V Cordless Sander!
