I own a lot of the DeWalt tools this one will probably be my last the angle grinders flange nut and wrench does not come with it you have to buy that extra which is a joke at first I thought it was just missing from the box but after reading in the manual and online I realize it did not come with the grinder even though every DeWalt grinder that I purchased before which is many does included it whoever came up with that idea in DeWalt should be fired I have a 36 vote cordless DeWalt angle grinder that they stop making batteries for so for me two strikes there out will go to Milwaukee for my next tool purchase very disappointed. I could not recommend any DeWalt tools for that reason

Yep, bought based on size and power. Didn't read reviews. Can't use out of packaging. Tool is useless without additional accessories. Dewalt has gone south since Stanley B&D bought them. Shame.Our job is delayed with contractors on-site. Nice f'n job Dewalt!Update: it's truly a beast of a grinder. Yeah you have to make additional purchases to use this monster, but in the end, you'll be happy. After canceling job for the day, we researched and purchased all necessary accessories to use this bad boy. 7", 9" guards, Dewalt spanner for grinding disc. We repair and rebuild trailers. The 9 inch cutting disc makes it possible to cut cross members in one pass, what a time saver! Eat your Wheaties before use as it's heavy, but worth it. Over head grinding takes a toll on the arms, but saves time. Adjustable grips and trigger barrel make this one of the best tool investments we've made. Just be patient and get all your accessories at time of purchase. In the end, the grinder is worth the pocket change. Expect to shell out about $300.00 for everything you'll want for this beast.

I'm gonna help you out, gal, guy...YOU MUST PURCHASE the DEWALT D284932 Flange Set for Large Angle Grinder nut-clamp set separately! See my pics above. Nut-clamp flange set is NOT included in the box. Luckily, it was also available on amazon.ca in Jan2020. I have cut one large metal piece with this 7in disc shown above, and I was impressed with the power of the Dewalt D28499X angle grinder. It is a bit heavy, so be forewarned, this serves well for occasional use, and there might be a min. human power requirement to wield it adequately.

Este es sin duda el mejor esmeril de Dewalt y verdaderamente se siente si le instalas un buen disco diamantado.Esta combinación se debora el concreto!Es muy potente y muy comodo pero aqui va el lado malo: No incluye guarda para disco de corte!Que le pasa a Dewalt!?!?!?Incluye guarda de 7 y 9 pulgadas para copas pero no para discos!Es ridículo!Fuí a buscar la guarda con el distribuidor/servicio y obviamente no la venden entonces terminé por pedirle al herrero que corte golpée y solde la que venía y sólo así logré tenerla a tiempo.No existe guarda para disco de 9 pulgadas!Todo mal con este tema de la guarda pero sinceramente muchos ni siquiera la usan así que si tu eres uno de ellos olvida la bendita guarda y compralo y si eres de los que usamos la guarda y quieres usar un disco de 9 pulgadas vete preparando para visitar a tu herrero.No lo olvides, este es el rey de los esmeriles a ojos cerrados!

I bought it used for about $80 but still works great. I put diamond blade to cut concrete and this baby cuts into it as a work knife into the butter. Even that it was used and no waranty I hope I can get few more jobs out of it. Motor runs strong and with 13 AMPS this grinder has enough power for the toughest jobs. It is pretty light for its power. Its not too big and feels good in hands.Would recoment it to a friend.

For you people desperate for a halfway useful review unlike the other 3 reviews on here, I will attempt.This grinder is a beast. After a descent amount of research, I found this to be the most powerful grinder DeWalt offers. You will not bog this grinder down. This thing has an unimaginable amount of power. Currently I'm using it with a 7" grinding disc and I'm able to remove massive amounts of metal fast and with ease. My 10AMP 4.5" grinder is super powerful, but wears me out when I need to remove alot of material. This 15AMP 7/9" beast makes my job a whole lot easier.The tool features an adjustable trigger grip too. It rotates when you use the grinder at different angles. It uses a very reliable type of latch mechanism to lock the grip in what ever position you rotate it to.This grinder is worth eavery penny to me. I'm an extremely proud owner. I love tools that work hard and don't slow me down but rather speed me up. Guys you wont regret this one.

This grinder is very heavy duty. It came with a 7" guard, a 9" guard and a screw on handle, nothing else. If you want to use grinding wheels without a threaded hub, you have to buy the adapter pieces seperately as well as the wrench to tighten them. Also the description said that the grinder came with a carrying bag, but I received no bag with mine and the box I received was sealed at the factory.I use Amazon for most of my purchases and update my reviews if anything changes with the products. I do this so other Amazon users can get a real feel for the life of the product. You can look at my review which will be close to my purchase date and tell how the product is doing as time passes. I am not associated with any company and all opinions are my very own.Update: It Is 5 years later and this grinder is still going strong. It is phenomenal how fast it will take off material compared to a 4-1/2" grinder. I consider it to be one of the best tool purchases I have made.
