This is my second board from this seller. The first one blew a relay after just over a year(you can hear the relay click when you turn it on) picture above . The first board connected quickly I only had to change one slip fitting on the ground wire. The replacement board clearly was for a model with more features than the fridge I have (this happens with "universal" replacement parts) but still compatible with the fridge connections.Lists as the correct model/part replacement (hotpoint) ....the new board (last years purchase) ran the compressor a little differently,on off more frequently and slightly louder. I assumed this was because it was a manufacturing/programing change but now with the second board the fridge runs like it used to. So my guess is the first board had a faulty relay from the start and just now gave out. So three stars one good board one bad board....but I got a year out of it so....Anyway,Took less than five minutes to install, if you've never done this its really pretty straightforward, only a few connectors, just be careful removing them (take a picture of the panel before you disconnect plugs, or use a sharpie to number them I'm sure there's a few online tutorials so I won't elaborate here. The board is attached to the unit with 4 plastic slip clips, squeeze gently with needlenose pliers and pull forward. You can do this! no problem!

I thought the board had went out on my refrigerator. But after ordering this board to replace the old one .there was some difference in my old one. So didnt want to put the new one in and blow it. Had a repairman come check refrigerator out. He said my board was still good and the compresser start relay was bad .so we put a start relay in it and the compressor started running then the fans came on . Thanks i will be ordering parts from you in the future.

This part came quickly the next day. When I found the part on Amazon there was only 13 minutes left to order and receive next day. It was less than 1/2 the price of Parts supplier websites. I didn't open the access panel till the part arrived. As you can see the old board had really scorched itself. Fridge was 16 years old. I kinda thought that the new board wasn't enough to fix it. I dove in anyway. The main inlet Power connector had melted down and was scrap. I saw that it was 3 wires with .250" spade in the connector housing. I was able to crimp 3 separate insulated connectors to install onto the male terminals. I made sure I wrote down the order of the wires to connect back on. It fit together well and worked after install and power up.

Plastic connectors are much more brittle than the old board. It looked a little different but said jt was the replacement model. Once I installed it and it did not work I broke the plastic connectors when simply trying to unclip the connector cables. All of the connector keepers broke. None of the originals broke when removing the old unit. Now I am out the money. Should have just bought an OEM replacement instead of trying to save a few bucks.

Experienced power surges after outages and fried motherboard on GE side by side refrigerator. Protection Plan Warranty would not honor repairs. Checking compatibility with original circuit board I took a chance and ordered it. Replaced it myself and the refrigerator works like new. Very simple installation👍🏽

My GE side by side - model GSC23KSTESS- had the inside light on but motor stopped working and all front panel lights were out after a power outage - likely due to a power surge. After some research was fairly confident it was the Control board- and this model worked for me.Note the board did not look exactly the same as the board I replaced - the connectors are all the same but this new board had 1 extra capacitor but my research indicated this board will workSince installing a couple of weeks ago my Refridgerator has been running normal and all front panel buttons including water and ice dispenser work normally. Would definately recommend.

I went through a some trial and error to get to this point. I have the fridge and board listed in the title headline. The TLDR - Replaced my board with this one and the startup capacitor to fix my fridge. My symptoms began with the fridge not able to start the compressor easily. About a day later it started glitching and showing 00 on the display. This was our garage fridge and I was super lucky to catch it before anything was at risk.On inspection of the board I had a relay fry and it was visible on the backside of the board. Looking through the internet I couldn't find a board that aligned as a replacement quickly and bought the wrong board at first. Going back to the internet I was able to find a tech that had posted a photo of an old fridge and board that was replaced with this model and he said it worked. That old fridge used a board identical to mine. So I bought the board. After replacing the board everything fired up ok but I didn't hear the compressor running. I could hear a relay trying but nothing. So I unplugged it and replaced just the startup capacitor and then it fixed it. Today it is at temp and still going strong. My suggestion is that if you have a board that looks near identical to this one but is missing a chip and relay, this may work well for you.
