About this item

  • Can be used with Anchor transmission mount 2268, or Energy suspension 3.1108G.

Dirty Dingo adjustable transmission crossmember bolts into 2WD 1988-1999 C10 C20 Truck's, Blazer's, and Suburban's. This crossmember, in most cases, will bolt to the frame using existing transmission mounting holes. This adjustable crossmember will allow you to run a powerglide, TH350, TH400, 700R4, 4L60, 4L65, 4L70, 4L75, 4L80, 6L80, and 6L90 and adjust the crossmember without drilling any new holes into your frame. This is designed for lifted or lowered trucks and will retain the factory transmission angle for proper driveshaft alignment. Made from 1 3/4" diameter DOM seamless tubing with 1/4" plates that will clear long tube headers and exhaust up to 4" in diameter. Crossmember is above frame rails and will clear when laying the frame on the pavement. Includes grade-8 bolts, washers, and teflon locking nuts for installation. Welded and cooled in a custom fixture for precision fit.

This piece worked great for my 1995 chevy OSB. This is a nice upgrade when installing headers and dual exhaust. Not to mention that if there is a LS swap planned in the future this is the crossmember to have.

Very beautiful piece for the price. However for me specifically, I don't know if maybe my cross member was made wrong or if the 88 C1500 being the first year for the body style is different than 89 up? I'm unsure.Shown in one of my pictures is the where the factory cross member bolted in and I didn't have near enough adjustment to slide it backwards to the mount. So I ended up having to drill a hole on each side of the truck to make it work.Honestly though if I wanted to drill holes, I would've just used the stock one.In my other pictures you see the mount doesn't sit center on the cross member.Which made using their included mount pointless as it had no center hole, just the 2 outside ones.Center hole in the mount actually lines up with the outer hole on the cross member, where as one of the outer holes of the mount lines up with the center of the cross member.Reading other reviews on this piece everyone's seems to have fit perfectly.Maybe mine was made on a Friday?I'd love to send the thing back but I don't feel it's even worth the hassle since it technically works.Other things of note it doesn't clear my dual 3 inch exhaust I already had on the truck, nor the fuel filter but I'm sure those are both a must with a mod like this and I won't fault them for it.But the others I mentioned are extremely disappointing.
