Ordered for a canoe trip with caves on the river. I, happily, didn't flip my boat so I never tested the waterproofing on the flashlight. That said, it looks pretty solid, it's plenty bright enough, and comes with a nice case. If I ever do test it underwater, I'll update the review and hopefully give 5 stars.

Could not charge because the port to plug the battery in was malformed.

Great flashlight. I love that the batteries are rechargeable. It has a tight seal. Light is very bright and works well underwater. As with most dive flashlights, this one has solid weight to it. Buy this with confidence.

I was looking for a rugged flashlight for use at night in the boat. I wanted it to be waterproof, something I could keep in the boat. This diving flashlight appears to suit my need. The light is ample bright, with multiple intensity modes. The light comes with extra gaskets, which is a great addition for a few years down the road (if I can keep track of the case).

This dive light is a beast! It weighs 18.7oz with lanyard, and is 9.25 inches long. If you ever need to defend yourself above or below water, this thing will get your opponent's attention for sure.Construction and finishing look very good, and the threaded sections twist on and off snugly but smoothly. There are three silicone O-rings on each end of the battery tube; I recommend applying a light coating of silicone grease to prevent any binding. The front assembly is fully sealed, cannot be disassembled, which is good for watertight integrity. The power button includes a lighted ring, which indicates battery charge level - green, red, or flashing red.Very good quality batteries are included for a change! Both measured over 5000mAh on my BC-3000 style battery analyzer.A dual-bay Li-Ion charger is included, along with the required USB-A to Micro-USB cable. It will work for any Li-Ion battery up to 70mm in length, and has three selectable charge rates - .5, 1, and 2 amps. You must supply your own USB charge adapter; don't bother with a fancier QC 3.0 or PD charger; it only accepts 5V input.Using a digital lux meter at point-blank range, I measured 199, 190, 133, and 35 K Lux for the four brightness settings. Note that Lux is not Lumens; lumens measurement is a complex technical process that is beyond amateur home capabilities. But for comparison purposes, an Out The Front (OTF) measurement of 199,000 Lux is top-shelf bright for consumer flashlights in this price range.Typical of dive lights, this one produces a tightly focused center hot spot that doesn't expand much with distance; this spot beam is surrounded by dimmer a halo ring, and then the rest of the field is dimly lit out to the periphery. At very close range, a cross-shaped shadow appears. The reflector has a hammered texture. My next dive trip is at least a few months away, but I'm looking forward to giving this flashlight a good underwater workout. I have no reason to expect anything less than great performance, and recommend it for your consideration.

We have not had a chance to try this light underwater but feels like high quality and had a nice bright light. Excited to use it.
