Most important thing for a chalk bag is to hold chalk. I bought this bag based off many video reviews saying it closed securely. I did not realize the updated model removed 50% of the closing mechanism. It poofs chalk all over the place when closed. I should have read more reviews before buying it.

Read several (non-Amazon) reviews before ordering it. Very happy with this chalk bucket. Great for gym use so far. Haven’t used it yet at an outdoors bouldering area. Good brush elastics, great key/wallet type pockets, and main compartment opens wide for two hand “dipping”, and closes securely.

Great bag. I’m happy with my purchase. It fits a full size bag of chalk and holds it well so that it’s not getting anywhere. It’s wide enough that it stays upright so no issues with it toppling over on the mat.I keep a chalk sock/ball inside along with a full bag of chalk (unicorn dust of course).

The chalk pot is awesome, it is well built, the turquoise color is beautiful and classy. It is sturdy, it doesn’t topple over no matter what, and it holds an insane amount of chalk. The handles are so simple yet it is a feature that we find ourselves loving every time we use the chalk pot. It’s so easy to grab the pot and go somewhere else in the gym and just be ready to chalk up and rumble.My one problem with this bag is the lack of the double closing system. I purchased it without knowing that it was the updated model with the single closing system instead of the double. This thing leaks chalk LIKE CRAZY. I just hope DMM brings back the original closure or at least improves on the current one so it stops leaking!Because of the closing system, I’m rating this 4/5 stars.

It used to be #1 rated; but now they've gone cheapo just like everybody else - making you pay the same for lesser quality and features than the previous model.One of the best features of the DMM Edge USED TO BE the double closure top. This was one of the primary reasons to source this bag over others. Not anymore. Apparently when they say "a new updated design for 2020 " they mean they have removed the secondary closure mechanism and saved money at the users' expense. It's just a basic cinch top now that will leak chalk just the same as any other drawstring type bag. Returning because there is nothing to differentiate this bag anymore after they downgraded it.

Great size! Perfect to fit both my hands in with no trouble.I’m able to carry my phone, wallet, and keys in the side pockets.The only thing I wish is that it had the double closure system like the old model to prevent chalk spillage.
