The larger pipes, low-restriction mufflers, and tuned resonators of a well-designed performance exhaust system can make a world of difference on your vehicle. The net result is lower auto exhaust backpressure, more horsepower, more torque, and a much better sound.

Product looked great coming out of the box and said it would fit my 2000 Silverado 1500 extended cab. It Does not fit on gasket to the y-pipe or the hangers.2 of the hangers sort of fit but are barely hanging on, and I had to use tie wire around the rear hanger just to get it to stay and now it consistently falls off. It alap didn’t come with enough clamps. I Absolutely would not recommend. Sounds ok but has pretty bad drone too.

Front pipe fits fine you do have to file the flange a little to slip it on only about a minute or so with a hand file. The muffler is turbo style and shrinks down to about 2 1/4 inside. The tailpipe does not fit what so ever and the hangers are terrible. You can make the tailpipe fit with some trimming and buy a better center inlet offset outlet muffler. Like I did. With all that said the pipes are nice and if you can weld and modify like I did you can make a clean installation but don’t try to clamp this in. Take your time and it can look nice I dumped it straight down over the axle and welded all joints and used a flowtech afterburner muffler. Turned out fine but if you can afford it but a better kit but if you like welding and making things yourself this is a good deal for all the pipes. Also no instructions whatsoever.

If you've ever installed a cat-back kit before, there can be some hiccups to the process. I have installed 3 others before I ordered this for my kid's 2005 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton 5.3L extended cab. He previously had a Gibson (Gibson-315536-Single-Exhaust-System) kit that we had put on 6 or so years ago. Midwest winters and the amount of salt they drop on the roads has taken it's toll on it, plus the amount of drone at 1900-2100 RPM in the cab made long rides back to school a bit tiring. We found the DNA kit here on the cheap and took a shot.Initial thoughts....everything in the box looks nice and shiny. Seems like we got a good deal for the money based on what we see. Let's start to install it....we proceed by taking the Gibson kit out in 1 piece. It was still in decent enough shape to re-install if needed, and so we wanted to keep in intact just in case. The tubing itself seems to be of good quality and true 3". But the collar doesn't fit over the pipe like some others have noted, so we need to grind for 10ish minutes before it'll slide down to the bung...okay. Next are the 3 hangers. You get to guess which one fits where since the kit comes with no paper instructions and the website doesn't have anything that you can look at. We figure out the first one to install, then add the muffler...luckily there are pictures that show the correct direction for the fitment. Then we go over the rear axle and try to figure out what hanger to use there....hmmm. Neither of the remaining 2 work, and that's when you start to figure out that you need to trim the main pipe at least 4" to make this kit work (well, somewhat) on a 1/2 ton short-box ext cab. After doing that, you can get one of the hangers to hold the 2nd pipe in place...but the fit is ugly. It doesn't hang straight and line up like a good kit would (see Dynomax & Gibson). And trying to get this pipe lined up so that it and the final hanger can clear the spare tire is a bit of a chore. The final tip is long (but they all are) so we trimmed it.All along the way, you may find that the word "round" is a relative term and that some of your tubing may be a bit oblong and needs to be re-rounded. Luckily I have an exhaust pipe expander from doing this before or we'd be stuck in the water...one of the reasons I removed the old exhaust in 1 piece. When this was ordered, I ordered 2x 3" exhaust band clamps for the muffler overlap (to use instead of the provided C-clamps) and a couple of rubber hanger/isolators since 2 of the originals were bad shape. We tried the muffler that came with it for a couple of weeks and didn't like the sound or drone...not what we were going for. So we looked around and decided to try the Dynomax 17744 in it's place. And now everything sounds (and drones) just as much as the old Gibson. Better than what came with it, tho. I guess we could try to put a resonator in front of the muffler, but at this point I'm tired of messing around with it.This was a futile attempt that got us back to square one as far as I'm concerned....same sound, less corrosion. If I had to do it all over again, I probably would've just gone to the exhaust shop and spent a little bit more to get what we wanted sound-wise, and to keep me from laying underneath a corroding truck trying to install this half fitted kit.

Kit is really nice. Definately had to do grinding etc to make it all fit. Some instructions on hanger placement would be helpful

Real stainless steel, requires a little bit of help (cutting, bending, etc) to fit. But did fit and sounds pretty nice. If youre not mechanically inclined and only have a 101pc husky tool set this may not be for you. But with the right tools and mindset a really good unit for the price.

Great product for the price. 5.3 Silverado sounds awesome and has aided throttle response. Doesn’t fit perfect but I managed and haven’t had trouble since.

Product arrived on the east coast within a week.Because of the price and the description being a little vague I wasn't really sure what to expect. To my surprise it really is a complete stainless steel system. Other then the clamps, all is non magnetic.Without doing PMI, I would guess the piping is a 4 series SS (410?) and the muffler is 3 series SS (304?).Can't really confirm total fit as I modified the head pipe to fit my 2000 regular cab step side.No fit issues muffler back, once I figured out which way to turn the over the axle pipe and which hangers worked best.Piping welded nicely with the mig welder which is all I have to work with.As for the sound. Has a nice throaty roar at idle, not obnoxiously loud, and no noticeable interior drone. All in all, satisfied with the purchase. Time will tell if it will outlast the truck.
