I was skeptical in the beginning of what kind of timing cover I would receive as far as quality and if it would actually fit my 85 22RE … My skepticism came from this “DNJ” timing cover being so cheap and there were a couple “BAD” reviews. Plus idk why but I always question if the”Good” reviews are “legit” or not. I was pleasantly surprised :) I am rebuilding my 1985 CelicaAnd i messed up my threads on my originalTiming cover where the oil pump mounts to the cover . I looked at the go-to Yota sites and they wanted an arm and a leg for the cover plus shipping. I seen this cover and decided to give it a try . It arrived fast in about 3 days. The timing cover seems legit as far as feel and quality. I looked at this throughly since it will be on my fresh build. It all checked out no cracks or factory defects. Honestly upon installation it doesn’t even look bad… I’m happy and I would buy again as well as recommend if you were looking for a “price reasonable” cover for your ol’ 22RE.

The DNJ cover fit great, but the coolant spout had a hairline crack that was not visible until installed and coolant added. Unfortunate to say the least. Customer service did not respond. I will never order from partshawk again.

I purchased two other covers from eBay and neither of them fit correctly. On the others, the top surface was too tall and it wasn't even parallel to the block.I used a real straight edge to check the surface relative to the block. No gaps on the head so the cover isn't taller. The gaps on the two sides of the cover were the smallest feeler gauge size.
