I just started taking on the grooming efforts for my 10 year old Golden Retriever to try to save money down the road (the last grooming session cost me $75). Although the price tag on these scissors was somewhat higher than I wanted to spend, I look at it as an investment in accumulating my arsenel of tools. This pair of chunkers worked well to thin out and blend her overgrown withers area on the backside of her rear legs. It makes that effort so much easier and the end result is as good as the groomer I used to take her to. Thanks to YouTube videos, I was able to accomplish the task easily.Being a novice and without anything to compare them to, I am rating them a 5 based on my experience. Highly recommended.

Comes with a lavender case. I wish I would have known. Birthday gift for my VERY masculine husband. Ugh. But the sheers are wonderful.

I was very excited to order these dog grooming scissors. We have Giant Beasties and it is difficult to find competent people to groom them. We used to groom our Beasties ourselves when we lived in a warmer climate – and were younger. We retired and moved about a thousand miles north to be closer to the grown-up littles. We had a great couple who worked with our dogs, but they retired and we started trying new groomers. We had an awful experience before we found the lady we are currently working with. The only problem is that our Beasties always come back with slightly odd cuts.One of our Beastie Boys came back with very short fur, (which is his definite preference), except for part of his tail. The underside of the end of his tail has long hair on it – and it definitely looks more like long hair than fur. Just the underside. Curious. One of our Beastie Babes came back with very short fur, except a bit of fluff on her tail, and long fur on her ears. The fur on her ears is cut in such a way that it looks like a ‘bob’ haircut. Kind of silly looking.There are a few things I really like about these scissors. I am ambidextrous so I always appreciate when something can be used with the left or right hand. I am also very picky about my scissors. I have sewn for years and always like to open and close scissors a few times before picking which pair to purchase. I am very impressed with how easy this pair is to use. Additionally, I like the orchid protective case that came with the scissors, as well as the tip protector.Beasties are well taken care of and clean so we are happy. It will even be better after we clean up their cuts a bit. 😊

Pleasantly surprised! Long-time pet groomer. I get a nice finish with them. Bought a second pair. I like them way more than my Kenchiis.

They are low quality, 2 of them keep locking up and the clunkers don't close . Not worth the $
