Maybe it can't hold my wife, but it can hold my dog, and that's saying a lot. This little ramp is surprisingly strong and stable. I like that it telescopes and condenses down to a smaller, more manageable size (unlike my wife). The carpet offers sufficient grip, but they could've used something a little more grippy for the pup to grab onto. It's not a problem, just an idea for improvement. But the carpet is just fine. I'd buy another one if I needed one.

This is an okay ramp. It is a bit bulky and it really has quite the incline. It didn’t come with any directions, but I watched another reviewer’s video so that was helpful. I have a little elderly dog and he was a little intimidated by the ramp and I don’t think he felt very secure. I think bigger dogs may get the feeling that it is unstable. I’m considering a return as it isn’t quite working for me and my dog.

It's too large and too bulky for what I wanted to use for,unfortunately I returned it, could work great for other purpose,a bit difficult for senior citizen.

I recently got this dog ramp for my car, and it's great in many ways. The non-slip surface is perfect, and I love that it supports up to 440 lbs, so it’s sturdy enough for both my dogs.That said, it is a bit bulky and takes up quite a bit of space when extended. But, the ramp is lightweight and easy to carry around, which makes up for its size. Overall, not bad and it's relatively easy to use.

We've tried other ramps in the past, and in general, I like this one a lot. It's light enough to carry with ease, although I wish there was some sort of mechanism to lock it in the closed position. On occasion, I pick it up "backward" and it wants to slide open (I may get a strap to help keep it secure). It easily supports the weight of my adult dog, and while he's had trouble with some other ramp surfaces in the past, he seemed quite comfortable with this carpeted one. I've got a puppy on the way, and I'm going to be using this as part of his training regimen.

I got this instead of using my collapsing stairs that the dog always seems leery of, so I wanted to try the ramp. She is a 65lb labrador and she likes it much better than the stairs and seems so much more stable. I am using it in my BMW X5, and even though it is longer and about 5 inches wider than my stair ramp, it seems much more solid. The only bad thing and I did take one star away was the size that it does take up. Since it is wider than the stairs and a little bit heavier, it does take up quite a bit of space in the back. It does have a nice handle for taking it out and setting it up. By the way it is very easy to open and install on almost any type vehicle. My truck is lifted 8' and it is still a good ramp although it is steeper than the BMW only because of the lift, but she runs up and down it very easy. Our house is only one story so she is not used to stairs, but she does like the ramp better than the stairs. I definitely would get this agin and would love to see it weigh less and maybe a little narrower.

I wanna really like this ramp, the carpeting material, the handle, and the aluminum sliding feature is super nice. However, there were no instructions with this item. I was not 100% certain which way to orient it. I also do not like the fact that the three sections do not lock into place. Therefore it could collapse unexpectedly. I have two elderly dogs (boxers 9 and 11). I have had elderly dogs in the past where I have had to custom build a carpeted ramp. Let me tell you it’s no fun dealing with a dog getting old. Both of my dogs were afraid of this and have no interest in using it. They are both scared to get in the car and I usually have to lift them. Now they will be scared of this ramp and the car, and I will still end up having to lift them.
