My motor went out on my camper. It has a dometic ac on it and the replacement motor was close to $270. I was debating on replacing the whole ac with an off brand for $721 until I found this motor. The fan motor was an AO SMITH f42e63a61. I did have to pull the bottom bracket off and drill another hole in it for the motor to mount to.

This kit had everything I needed to fix my air conditioner. I had trouble figuring out what to do with the capacitor. Instructions missing. Cap goes on the white lead (common) and brown lead.

Fixed my old dometic unit, run your old common from the original to the new capacitor and splice all the other wires and woohoo. Kit comes with everything you need and some extras thank goodness! I needed one of the nuts for mine. The fan and blower work great and the motor has a lot of power. Thx for offering this kit! Amazon you rock as usual. I never used this unit until today cause the old fan was completely burned up. Thing is ice cold now!

Old motor wasn't starting properly, and when it did start it would trip breaker. Replacement motor is physically larger than the original but fits fine. Had to modify one of the mounting brackets by bending to make it fit. Comes with a different run capacitor which you must use. Old capacitor remains to run the AC, new capacitor used for fan motor only. Runs great now, problem solved.

The install was easy for my fiance, and the new fan works great. I recommend rv users to maybe even have thus on hand if it can be afforded, so when your ac fan fails/makes noice you got the next one ready.

My order arrived in abut a week after getting an estimate of a month or more, that as great! After reading through the reviews I ordered the prop and squirrel cage fans. After un-boxing the motor I found that it did indeed come with both fans. The wires were NOT cut off, the connectors were/are exactly what was needed for my (old # 3105054) 3313107 (current #) replacement motor. Watched a U-Toob “Are Dometic RV AC Motors Intentionally Bad?” (Thanks!) and was able to adapt the knowledge to my older unit which helped immensely. There was a bag of parts included that has more doodads than needed but will need the shock mounts and especially the “L” brace for the end of the motor. There was one missing rubbermubberfubber from the motor mounting plate missing but there were 4 new ones in the parts bag. The motor has a larger diameter/circumference hence the need for a shorter brace and the case may also be a bit longer but that doesn’t matter either, the shaft is the correct length. The blades were rotten as were the vanes of the squirrel cage fan. Turning the unit on for the 1st time I could hear a thumping hauling A$$ down the duct work toward the back of the RV and thought “Oh ####, I trapped a bird in the duct! After further review when the thumping stopped I realized it was the vanes that broke off the fan being blown the tunnel. I’m very satisfied and feel bad for the guys who had the horror stories. Am planning to auction my old fan with a few missing blades and is all gunked up with a nice crud patina to it. It will make an excellent prop for someone’s MAGA hat! (10K will buy it, not a cent less, perfect accessory for the right buyer) BTW, you will need a 8 mm wrench/socket for the fan nuts.9/15/20 Well, that didn't last long. The motor stopped spinning up on hi setting yesterday. I switched it to low and it started and ran...a few times and now that won't work either. When it did spin up on low I clicked it over to Hi and it ran. This is a sure sign that the starting capacitor is bad. I was listening when it tried to start on Lo and heard it start blowing then dropped to a hum. This isn't good. DON'T THROW OUT THE CAP that comes with the new motor, use it! I (obviously) didn't compare the farad values of the two, the one that comes with it may be (likely) are not the same for a good reason. This wasn't emphasized anywhere in anything I read but should be. Will try to get a replacement for the one I threw out. I should have left the 5 stars, but head is all bloody from banging it against the wall and palm bashing it. BUT, if you use the new capacitor and it still does what I just described, the problem(s) are more serious than just the cap. Am about to order a Furion and forego this Dometic junk. My Dometic refrigerator crapped out at at 4 years old! The owners manual says "don't use every day!!!) WTF is that?!

It fix my air conditioner perfectly. It was half the price that the RV dealer charge. For just the motor the RV dealer wanted 600.00 for it am I ever glad I looked on here
