I'm deeply disturbed by the behavior of this fridge. I have an wireless thermostat in both the fridge and freezer compartments. Most of the time it keeps the freezer between -4 and 7F and the fridge between 33-37F on the Performance mode 4 dot setting. About once a week however I'll look at the temp gauge and will find that the fridge is in the mid 40s and the freezer is in the high 30s! All the food in the freezer is soft, and the food in the fridge is solidly in the danger zone! Opening the door and looking at the settings shows the same Performance 4 dot settings lit, it just doesn't appear to be cycling on. If I power down the fridge and then power it up again, the fan in the freezer starts blowing and within 20 minutes it cools down again. This seems wildly dangerous in terms of food safety and appears to me to be a fault where the fridge is failing to perform silently. WTF Dometic?

Gets cold quickly and stays cold, power efficient, bigger, all unlike the previous propane fridge.

Fairly new unit. I was expecting a hard freeze so drained water and tanks, left valves open. Four day freeze busted water line in frig. Apparently water gets trapped and will not drain. Frig is toast and now leaks no cooling. What a waste of space.

I have purchased my 3rd 12DC Dometic Refrigerator and the last two was returned because they didnt work. The first one after a week stopped working and the interior light would be blinking when you opened the door. You could cycle power and it appeared to start working again. The housr lated it would happen again I called Dometic factory and they told me it was sticking in defrost cycle. Either return are have it serviced at the nearest service center. The local camper service department suggested to return it since it was new.So I did and reordered another one. After about 8 days the second one stopped working and it has the 3rd power light level blinking this time telling me the fault. So I called the factory again and this time after talking to two people they both said the could not help me with the problem cause they had no chart with error codes on it . Totally opposite from my first one. Then I contacted Amazon and they said they would send a truck to pick it up but if I wonted another one I would have to order it myself. Well I really won't that refrigerator to work because it's the only one made that size to fit my cabinet in my boat. It was a pain in the aSS to put the first one in and take it out now it will be three time for the next one. Not sure what's causing the issue , I have good 12 -13 vdc to it. Maybe I need to get more air to it but looking at the back side it requires very little. I guess if it breaks I'll buy an inverter and get a $300 120vac refrigerator. Just didn't 2 go that route. Had refrigerator installed by pro installer. Refrigerator didn’t work. 8 calls with Dometic got us no where. They would not send a new one, they wanted me to take to authorized repair center. Authorized repair center has been waiting 3 months for part. If I wasn’t already in for over $1200. I would tell them to shove it and buy another brand. Never again.

Very quiet .....hooked it up to a 100 amp hour lithium battery to see the power consumption. At the setting of normal performance at #3 of 5 settings, it consumed about 900 watts over 48 hours.Still had 300 watts left in battery. it was using anywhere from 5.5 to 7 amps when running. It also kicked on to a defrost cycle that used over 10 amps for a few minutes. the defrost cycle only kicked in once over the 4 days I was testing it that I know of. Very happy so far.
