My son used this exact brace during his lacrosse season last year, so I ordered a new one from Amazon since the old one was a bit worn out. The strap that prevents glenohumeral abduction is supposed to have double stitching, and the brace I received from Amazon was barely single stitched. I was able to compare it to our other one since they are the same brace and the strap stitching was completely defective, causing it to break and be completely unusable within minutes of putting it on. This item is non-returnable so I needed to chat with customer service and they offered to refund 30% - I pushed back because the item is defective and unusable and Amazon customer service did make it right for me. But in the future, I believe I will order medical items directly from the manufacturer to avoid this and be able to access their warranty for defective items. There is another review by another buyer describing the exact same defect I had. Do not recommend purchasing this item here.

This product did not work as advertised. My son used for 2 days and his shoulder still popped out of the socket. I tried several times to refund it within the 30 days and it wouldn’t let me. It kept sending me to a trouble shooting Q and A about fitting. Very disappointed that I couldn’t return this product

This brace does all that it says it will. The adjustable strap between waist and affected arm is great--it allows more movement as your shoulder gets stronger. I gave it only 4 stars for several 4 reasons: 1) it is extremely difficult to put on if you live alone. It does get easier with practice and after you figure out which straps you can leave in place. 2) It is extremely warm to wear--needs ventilation. 3) the armhole is too large for thin people (I would guess it's to big for most women--it bunches and wrinkles making it uncomfortable. 4) again for thin people, some of the straps are too long and cannot be cut to size because of the placement of the velcro. All in all, though, I'd recommend this brace if you have shoulder issues.

My son has a torn labrum but still wanted to play his Senior year of football- and because of this brace he was able to do so without hurting himself more! Wish it had been the first one I bought, but worth it!

6 games after we bought it the strap and Velcro ripped right off. Wanted to exchange it but instead had to buy another to get through the season. The return time should be longer when buying a $250 brace. Not great customer service in my opinion. Definitely should have been able to exchange for a new one but that didn't happen.

I bought this after 4 shoulder surgeries and having previously bought 2 similar "budget" braces. The other braces I tried were like wearing a tight wetsuit. Even with the straps It felt nice and gave me some added confidence, but didn't seem like they would prevent a future injury from happening. This brace felt so secure that I was convinced I would break my arm before separating my shoulder again. It allowed me to adjust my range of motion quite well. My only complaint was that after wearing it for three days it really chewed up my neck. I think this was partly due to how tight I made it and the fact that I did not wear a shirt underneath. A better design would be to make the neck area have a soft collar on it. I wrote this review because I was unable to find one at time of purchase. Highly recommended!
