Sturdy dense cork material, works well for cradling a guitar neck while changing strings. Works exactly as you would expect it to.

This appears to be a solid piece of equipment. And being made of high density cork, it doesn't scratch or mar my guitars.

I am a light guitar hobbyist. I play, but I have used the COVID-19 time to teach myself to work on my own guitars. Up until now, I have been using one of the decorative pillows on the couch in my office as a neck support for when I work on a guitar. My wife let me know that those pillows are not for that, thus I needed another solution. This is perfect for me. The price was right and I have other Donner products that I like. Plus, the cork construction is non-slip, which makes it superior to me lame pillow solution. At this price, you really cannot lose.

I have a confession to make, I am a stringed instrument fanatic :) (well actually I play several non-stringed instruments too). My wife thinks I own too many guitars, but I just ordered one more :)With such a hobby, I work on my guitars myself, be it cleaning/oiling, changing strings, setups, I even build some of my own instruments. When you do this kind of work, stable neck support is crucial. I own a Hercules brand foldable neck support you can see in some of the pictures, but sometimes I don't find it stable enough. It's also generally too high (it's adjustable between high and highest :) ) so I decided to try one of those "block" neck supports. I saw one on Amazon in pine but I am worried that it is too hard and could scratch my guitar, so I turned to Donner which is my "go to" for cheap-but-good music accessories. This model is made from cork which is a lot more gentle on the instruments and avoids scratching the finish. It has two heights, and more importantly, the lowest height which I prefer for electric guitars is lower than my Hercules support. When using a lower height stand and a "Gibson style" guitar with an angled headstock you want to be very sure that the headstock doesn't touch the table or the rest of the neck support, or pressure on the neck could snap the headstock. From the picture with my Epiphone Dot, you can see it is safe. In fact, I measured and the tip of the headstock is still over 1" off the table surface. When the neck support is in the upright position, the headstock is at least 3 inches off the table (2nd photo), which makes it easy to access the tuning pegs, etc... Yeah, the headstock is dusty, I should have taken the pictures after I was done working on this guitar :)I show a picture while oiling the fretboard, because the cork sticks to the surface and has a wide square base, it stays put and is very stable, which is good since I'm vigorously rubbing oil into the fretboard. This is more stable than the foldable Hercules neck supportAfter I was done cleaning my guitar, I worked on my strat-style guitar (I painted it myself!) and the neck support works great for non-angled headstocks of course,Then for fun, I decided to try my bass, my acoustic guitar, my ukulele, and my banjo (I forgot to take a picture of the banjo) and of course, the neck support works for all of them. All in all a great little purchase. If I had to find one issue with it, it's that there is a small piece of cork missing on the side, you can see it in some of the pictures. It doesn't affect functionality at all so I didn't bother exchanging it, even though I'm sure the manufacturer would have if I had asked.
