I thought my door was all messed up needing new hinges, new lock. Wouldnt close normally, had to be slammed. Thought let me try this, cheap easy enough. MIRACLE! It fixed everything.If youre looking, buy it!

I have a 1984 Chevy and was tried of slamming the doors to get them to latch. The original posts were worn and the plastic bushings were gone. Replacing took some time but it was worth the effort. The doors now shut as good as when it was new. I have to remember to stop slamming the doors shut LOL.

Good quality striker bolt with a concave washer as well.Installation is by a standard allen hex head type wrench no need to buy a number 50 Torx that's helpful.They were easy to install in my older C10 pickup truck. Took all of five minutes! Doors close nicely now.

A really inexpensive way to refresh the feeling of the doors on your older vehicle. The doors on my Suburban close way more easily and decisively now.

Installed on my '84 Suburban. Threaded into the factory nut perfectly (the package does not contain such a nut). The build quality seems high and the door closes and latches firmly.The bolt does not have the same shape and size as the bolt it replaced, but it works quite well.Word of advise: In my application the nut that secures this bolt is not part of the frame, and is likely to fall out of reach if you are not careful to support it when working with this bolt. A magnetic pick-up tool or a helper with small hands can be very helpful in the event of a dropped nut.
