(15 min job) My first generation Dodge (1993 D250) had TONS of slop in the steering. The lower half of the steering shaft is easily disconnected from the upper via two bolts then pulled from the coupling body. Replace the steering shaft pin, shoes, shoe spring, and cover/seal, and reinstall and it's NIGHT AND DAY difference with a CONSIDERABLE amount of slop taken up. Your original steering shaft pin may have to be heated to be removed, so use mapp gas and a vice to press out the pin. Also, replace the dowl pin in the coupling body.Easy fix! Great kit!

The tension spring was made incorrectly, does not mate to the shoes .Sent message to Dorman about it too never heard back. The rest of the parts seem fine

Is a little tricky., but work with it and bend the tabs in the same manor as the original one. Factory boot was black, the one in this kit is red.Not important unless your trying to restore a car back to original

If you have an old car and buy dorman parts you know the deal. Mediocre at its best but the parts work. In this case the steering coupler keys were good as was the spring but the main pin was worse than the original one in my 1982 Dodge. (Albeit it only has 50k miles) For $12 I can't complain much.

i installed the kit... everything fitted in well... my only trouble was the plate that goes over the orange seal. I think that part could have been designed better. but other than that it works very good.
