2010 Nissan Pathfinder LE (V6)Gave 5 stars for the improvement of metal for the inlet (vs. the easily-breakable plastic for the OEM part) and the quick shipping. The only issues for an installer to be cautious of while installing are the *positions* of some of the clamps that come with this piece (quality clamps, but after install can be a little tricky to reach in order to close) and the inlet position for one connection (upper-left of engine bay; inlet towards center) - had to really flex the hose to fit it onto the heater core inlet... but it worked.Overall, I hope to never need to do this repair on another vehicle but if so, would use this part over the OEM part.

The OEM assembly for this part is known to have issues as it’s made from cheap plastic that gets brittle over time. This part is well made and is solid metal, and fits perfectly once it’s in place. Another plus, it’s less than half the price of the cheap official replacement part from Nissan directly.

Very disappointed that Nissan used plastics with this part. Barely touched it and it crumbles apart. Loved that the this part addressed the defect and made it a solid replacement. Installed perfectly. I only wished that the Pathfinder originally used this part instead of their plastic part.

I needed to drill a hole for the middle bracket that connects to the firewall because the hole didn't match up. But this is 100 times better than the plastic OEM version.

I paid to have it installed but mechanic said it was a great decision to upgrade.

I busted my 2009 Pathfinder's heater hose assembly while I was changing spark plugs. I'm not even mad at myself; I didn't force anything. Turns out, it's a well known design flaw.I was going to replace it with a $350 OEM part when I found this one on some Nissan forums. I bought it and, sure enough, it's a perfect fit for my 2009 Pathfinder SE 4WD.My only (slight) beef is that two of the clips were pre-loaded upside-down from where they should have been. It took me quite a while to spring them. No big deal.
