Perfect replacement for a 1980 Ford F100 Lariat rear tail brake like socket. Great quality, easy to replace if you know how to soldier and shrink wrap. LeAnn's just like new again!!

Bought these plugs for my 87 f150. Upon opening the box found two Dorman light sockets. Seem to be made of good quality and wires seem good and are different colors. Only problem though one of the sockets was packaged without the weatherproof foam seal/gasket to keep water and dirt from the bulb

Although this was a direct fit to replace a bad socket in the rear of my 1985 Ford F150, I expected it to work out of the box. After installation, the bulb worked intermittently for a few minutes then failed. As this was a new item, I suspected a problem with my wiring harness.After a couple hours of trouble shooting the 30 year old harness I discovered the ground pin in the brand new socket was bent and not making contact with the bulb. Look at your socket hard at the time of installation. These are poorly constructed and the pins may be improperly placed inside the fixture.
