Replacement my orginal one after some gas got it it. The pump kept releasing prematurely. This fixed the problem right away. Also replaced the vent valve.

Thanks to Amazon i was able to get it at a "Like New" price but still a great new item just open box. Dorman never let's me down if I can't go OEM with that being said this is Quality made and fit perfect in the OEM bracket and fitting ends fit perfectly with the OEM hoses too!. Also it felt like the Original by the Quality of plastic and even weighed identically the same too. I'm very happy with it!

I couldn’t put fuel in my 09 avalanche due to the OEM part failing. I was able to install this without dropping the tank. I did put a vacuum on the hard lines to suck out the charcoal beads that broke free from the old part.

Fixed my slow filling gas problems for a month then the problem came back. (clicking out before filled up)The Canister was intact but the charcoal pellets from the previous canister was still in the lines and had to be removed by blowing compressed air through the lines.To clear completely, I had to lower the gas tank carefully and disconnect some lines that I ran compressed air into.If you have the same filling problem, I would try disconnecting the old canister hosing and check for carbon pellets without removing the whole thing first. If present, Just have a mechanic do all the work (including clearing the lines) that I just did unless you have the time and resources to DYI.
