Mazda and local stores sell this for around $200. I bought this i had it installed with no troubles. I had a small evap leak on my 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactive (2.0). This worked perfectly

It is easy to install on on 2012 Mazda 5, cleared the engine light with P0442 code. Thanks for the other post about M6 flange nuts, I was able to replace them too. I wish they add couple of these nuts in the package. I guess it also depends on if all the cars that use this part use the same size of nuts. In my case, after replacing the solenoid, I disconnected the positive cable of the battery to reset the code but it didn't work. I had to disconnect both positive and negative cables from battery to reset it.

I installed this on my 2014 Mazda 5 to pass the emissions test. It worked and is still working now. One of the easier repairs I've completed, on this car. The charcoal canister in the rear bottom of the car is easy to access so it made the job fairly easy.

Purchased to fix CEL on 2012 Mazda5. The item arrived quickly and as described.Installation was a pain, but mostly because of the location of the part hidden under the rear cross member.Note: Test Old Unit by blowing through it, free flow with no voltage, should completely seal when 12v is applied across the 2 pins. Mine was not totally sealed/closed when power was applied.

Do after putting off the miserable installation on a second generation mszda3, I finally got around to removing the old canister vent solenoid (which was what I assumed to be the problem) and replacing it with this dorman one. I was finally able to get it on by rescuing it to the mounting plate along with installing the hoses on the 2 sides. However, I just COULD not get the electrical attachment to "clip in" to this dorman canister solenoid no matter how hard i pushed and I'm worried that it might not be creating a secure connection from an electrical standpoint. Has anyone else experienced the same???

The listing says it will not work for a 2009 Mazda cx7 but it does work and is a hundred dollars cheaper than the one with a 90 degree elbow

Perfect fit for 2012 Mazda5 , i got engine light on with code P0442 , with no clew for what to do and by chance i came across a video on youtube recommending for this part replacement and this was the defected part , reaching the old defected one is not an easy job for a Mazda as it is concealed above the rear axel but can be done at home, after replacing the OEM defected one with this replacement one and driving the car for 25 km with half empty tank , the check engine light went off by itself i didn't need to clear any code

Fixed p0455 code for a 2012 Mazda5Bottom of gas tank in the rear, take off plate with 4 boltsThere will be 2 small 10mm nuts holding the solenoid in placeIf you live in an area with snow they will probably be rusted, use vice grips to take offClean studs with a wire brushInstall with 2 new metric M6 flange nuts you can get at any hardware storeYou can test old solenoid with jumper cables connected to battery. No power you should be able to blow through. With power attached it should be fully closed. Old one was still allowing some air through. Tested new one, was tight and could not blow air through.Cleared code with OBD2 scanner and EVAP system is now reading ready, no CEL.
