This is one of three parts readily replaceable if you get the error code for the fuel system vacuum leak.The other two are the gas cap and the vent valve that connects to the vapor cannister.Removal was super simple and this fit perfectly. I did also replace the valve that is attached to this cannister and no longer receive the error code.The cannister is well made and comes with screws and an o-ring to connect the valve (assuming you don't replace the valve as well at the same time).Whether or not you replace the vapor cannister and the valve at the same time really depends on if you want to potentially do the same job twice. While this cannister is not cheap, it was easier and faster to replace it and the valve at the same time just in case. In the end, I think it was just the valve that needed to be replaced.

I had P1457 came back a year after replace the purge valve. So this time, I determined to replace this canister too. I also bought the vent valve from Dorman, and replace both together at the same time. The item is exactly like the picture. With the warehouse great deal price on both items, I can't be happier, avoiding the hassle removing the old vent valve rusted screws, or had to come back to do the canister later. Hope the code won't come back
