It saved me from having to replace the compressor. As a commercial HVAC contractor, I have all the equipment to do this install correctly. Be careful of some YouTube videos about install procedures. I recommend having a qualified tech do the repair.

Super easy install in a 2006 Ford Five Hundred. A/C is cold and working again. Way cheaper and easier than replacing the compressor.

I replaced this part a year ago and it's still working great. Be aware you need to remove the refrigerant first. You need skinny hands to do this job.

The AC in my Ford Fivehundred wasn't working. YouTubed it and found out this valve might be the problem. Borrowed gauges and a vacuum pump, bought a freon tank on Facebook, did the job myself and it's cooling just fine. Am very pleased.

After seeing videos on YT, had a local shop drain system so I could install. From under car, you just remove those (2) 10mm bolts on the compressor as shown in picture. New part and gasket goes in there. Seems to have fixed problem… A/C worked pretty good on highway or when engine was around 2,000-2,5000 rpm’s, but at idle or city driving was bad.

My suction pressure was too high and had warm air coming from the vents. So I decided to replace the scroll valve. You have to reclaim the refrigerant then replace the valve. When I was finished replacing the valve, I put the refrigerant back in and my pressures were perfect. Got good a/c now.Cheap fix. Better than replacing the a/c compressor that costs hundreds of bucks.
