I accidentally broke the hazard switch and wasn’t sure what I was going to do since the hazards wouldn’t shut off without a toothpick jammed in it 😂This new switch did the trick!

The top broke off the hazard switch and everything I read and viewed said I had to replace the entire multifunction switch to remedy the problem... a lengthy process involving removing the steering wheel and half the dash. After some research and poking around my switch, I felt that the hazard switch was a separate removable switch... and it IS!! I took a chance and ordered this switch... removed my old one and this one popped right in and WORKS!! Despite Amazon and every other part supplier saying it would NOT. ...and it may not for you... but it did for me and in my research my result is typical...

This isn't meant for my vehicle, but it fits. All of my turn indicators work and my brake lights and hazard lights also work. The horn was not working before I replaced the switch. The horn is still not working after replacing the switch. I installed a horn button so your horn may not work as some have stated. Just one man's experience. It it working well after being installed a few months ago.

Excellent replacement for my broken hazard button in my 1997 Chevy S10. Arrived in protected box and just popped right into place once I removed the old one. Mechanic estimated me $300 to do this and it cost me $21 and 5 minutes of my time. I feel like the black top actually looks better than the original red one. Very quick shipping works great.

Even though the Amazon fit requirements says not made for my truck I bought it any way to give it a try on a 96 Chevy S10. Dealer wanted $65 for this part. It fit in perfectly, but its a little glitchy in my truck. Some times the blinkers work, sometimes they dont. If I wiggle the hazard switch or depress the button slightly the blinkers work. Its obviously not made for my truck so I'm not disappointed in the product. It solved the problem I had prior which was a broken hazard switch, which caused the hazard lights to be in the on position all of the time. I had to tape and rig the broken switch so the hazards wouldn't stay on and kill my battery. At least now the hazard lights aren't on anymore. I can deal with intermittent blinkers.

I bought this for a 1996 Chevy Blazer 4 door LS model. I live in PA and to pass inspection, the vehicle has to have working four-way flashers, and my old one was stuck and no longer worked. The thing that infuriates me, is the vehicle had zero issues until I had to start freaking around with this stupid four way flasher / hazard switch... I'd rather have non-working four ways than screwed up turn signals, which is the result so far of me messing with this thing.I did some research/googling, and found that the four way flasher is a common problem in the 95-02~ Chevy S-10/Blazer models of various types with this switch. As far as my model Blazer goes, none of the turn signals will work if the hazard switch is not installed (very dumb design by the engineers who made it...). And I broke the old one trying to remove it, so I had to go on the hunt for a new one.I found this one, and although the page says "not an exact fit", I bit the bullet and bought it anyway as others here have commented that it said the same for their vehicles. At first, I thought I popped it in and the problem was solved. Upon testing it though, I noticed that sometimes the four ways would get stuck in the on position, but I was able to press it a few times to get them "off" and thought that was the end of my problems. I was wrong. When driving to Lowes one day, I noticed my right turn signal was stuck on, even though my multi function switch was in the neutral position. My instant thought was the hazard switch was the problem; upon turning it off/on repeatedly I got the right signal to stop blinking and the blinkers worked normal again. The problems started getting worse and worse with this signal getting stuck. Finally tonight going out at 1AM on black roads, my blinker wasn't working at a stop sign. It then didn't want to work on the highway when returning home, meanwhile a tailgater was following me. Great way to cause an accident or get a fracking ticket!Bottom line; this thing isn't working for me. I parked it in my driveway tonight and fooled around with it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, after using the right signal every so often the right blinker gets stuck in the "on" position and it's very hard to get it off, having to have me cycle my four-ways to get it working normal again. I noticed if I jiggle it around, sometimes the right signal comes on by itself. Rough bumps on the roads of PA won't help that...My advice; if you are having four way issues, you can *try* this switch first to save money. It's only $10 bucks. BUT.. be aware, that this can cause serious issues for you on the road, endangering you when your turn signals don't want to work properly. Test it very thoroughly before going on any busy roads. Test your signals thoroughly, jiggle it around, and make sure it doesn't cause any issues that will arise on the road. For my Blazer, I'm out of options. I am going to buy a brand new multi function switch with a pre-installed hazard switch. I don't trust this thing at all, I can't drive around with faulty turn signals. Maybe it's a different sizes, it sure as hell measures and looks exactly identical to my old one but it is NOT working.

I had to pull the dashboard panel to install a new stereo in my 1997 Chevy s10 and when I did I broke the very brittle flasher switch. I thought I was in for having to pull the steering wheel and replace the whole turn signal switch assembly. I found this part and others had said it would fit even though Amazon says it will not. It fits! I had left the dash loose and it took less than 5 minutes to drop it in. There were no directions to install it. You just have to take a small flat screwdriver and release the tab and then slide the old one out and then drop the new one in and then cycle it a few times to get everything working right again. Awesome fix and saved me not only the money for a new assembly but the time of having to pull the wheel and mess with the airbag as well. Amazon rocks
